pls let me know the purposr of serta 50mg. ## By Serta, do you mean Sertraline? If so, Sertraline is a Hydrochloride prescribed as an antidepressant. Many pharmaceutical substances are prepared as hydrochlorides so that they may be quickly released in the gastrointestinal tract; the body usually absorbs a hydrochloride within 15-30 minutes. The efficacy of Sertraline for depression is similar to that of older tricyclic antidepressants, but its side effects are much less pronounced. Differences with newer antidepressants are subtler and also mostly confined to side effects. Evidence suggests that sertraline may work better than fluoxetine (Prozac) for some subtypes of depression. Sertraline is highly effective for the treatment of panic disorder, but cognitive behavioral therapy is a bet...

Hi, I turned 50 in Aug 16 and started having hot flushes about a year ago. They occured once or twice an hour each day over a period of about 5 weeks. They would then disappear for 2-3 months. The flushes caused me to feel an overwhelming heat from top to toe and my whole body would become wet and droplets would appear on my face. This would last about a minute or two and then I'd be back to normal. I teach adults so this was somewhat embarrassing during lessons. My job is part-time and extremely stressful and in Nov 16, I was signed off with work related stress and anxiety. I have been on Sertraline 100mg for about 3-4 years because I had an episode of work related stress back then and had 5 months sick (there were other issues too at the time). At the age of 45, I had the Merina c...

Would like to connect & relate with people, who suffer from anxiety. I have just started sertaline. Been on prozac for years. And not long on pregabalin for chronic back pain (which I have learned is also for anxiety). I noticed that pregabalin was helping my GAD. I realized my anxiety hadn't been addressed. Last week I was sobbing at times, crying over silly things, I havnt had sleepless nights like some people say. feeling a bit more chilled 2day, but haven't felt like eating ?

I was on Amaryl 2, Metformin 500. As there was no relief I was given Janumet and afterwards Januvia 100. After use of 1 yr + I was given one Ty..... (said to be a product of Japanese research and less costly - but there was no relief), Hb1c is now 8.5. So again back to Januvia 50 x 2. But apparently there is no palpable result. I do also take Rosuvastatin 20, Clopidogrel 75, Aspirin 150, Sertaline 100, Gabapin NT, Neurofit 12, Ifin,... I have acute lower backaches and my waist often gets locked. And severe breathing trouble (for which I use a Foracort inhaler).

I was prescibed Serta-50mg.by the doctor for depression.I have been taking it for last three years.Since I am feeling netter. can I stop it.now ## Do not stop cold turkey! You will be very sick. My doctor said to wean slowly. For a month, take a half a pill a day. Then a half a pill every OTHER day. Then stop. I did it just like this 33 days ago was the last pill I had and im still trying to get these withdraw symptoms to stop. Im very sick to my stomach almost all the time. It sucks ## Hi Meena! The reason you are feeling better is because you are taking the medication. I know people who stopped their medication and they were fine for awhile then lapsed into depression again. It is NOT good to stop the medication until you speak to your doctor. Call him first.
