I have a round white pill with GG then a line and 199 all on one side of the pill. The other side is blank. ## Is it possibly GG 179? If so, Sandoz Pharmaceuticals lists it as being a 100mg Captopril tablet, which is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure, and certain cardiac conditions. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, hypotension, and increased urination. ## Did you ever find out what this pill is?

I suspect it's my (generic) sumatriptan pill, but if so it's my last one so I have nothing to compare it with. ## Betty, your suspicion is correct - RI 62 is the 50 mg Sumatriptan Succinate manufactured by Ranbaxy. I just wanted to know what it was because my friend said it would help me me sleep at night easier. But I'm not going to take it until I absolutely know what it is. ## This tablet contains 100mgs of Trazodone, the active ingredient in Desyrel, it is an SARI antidepressant, it can cause drowsiness as a side effect, so it is sometimes used to treat insomnia. However, it can adversely react with some other medications, so it isn't advisable to take it, if it has not been prescribed for you and you do not have a doctor's approval.
