These pills are large round pills colored orange with nothing on one side and N over 400 on the other. I found a small orange pill with no markings or score marks in my boyfriends pocket. A buddy of his told me it was an oxy 40 but I can't find this anywhere. Can anyone tell me if that's what it is or if it's something else? ## If this really was an "Oxy 40" as his buddy claimed, my understranding is that they would not be from the US (unless they're counterfeit). The FDA requires all prescription drugs to bear an imprint/marking of some sort for identification. Without this, my guess is that it's probably fake or foreign (assuming it's actually Oxycodone), or an OTC med/supplement... Have you considered discussing this with your boyfriend to see if his story lines up with what you were told by his 'buddy'?

If so, Purdue Pharma lists it as being a 40mg Oxycontin tablet, which is no longer manufactured. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, constipation, headache, and dry mouth. They changed their formulation a few years ago, and now use the OP marking, they have also made them more abuse proof.

So my little brother just got off drugs and we're sharing a room and I found this little weird pill, it's like a yellowish orange circular pill and on one side it says "OX" & the other side says nothing... if anyone happens to know what it is I'd like to be enlightened. I found an orange peach pill that say ABG or EBG on one side (its hard to tell) and the number 40 on the other. It's round. ## ABG 40 is Oxycodone Controlled Release 40mgs, a generic for Oxycontin. A very strong narcotic pain reliever, very addictive and with some pretty heavy side effects. ## I know this is an old thread but wanted to post an update. Currently I believe this old pill has been superseded by the 40 mg extended release (OP version) from Teva. It is round and yellow with the imprint OP 40.
