my husband is suffering from hypertrophic non obstructive cardiomyopathy. recently we visited a doc who suggested to start with prolomet xl 25 & dytor 5 stopping his prior medicine I.e Cardibeta 50 mg. I wanted to know whether we accept or go for a 2nd opinion. what can be the probable results & side effects. your suggestion is awaited.

I have been advised by Dr. to use Prolomet XL25 due to hypertension. Coincidentally from the time of usage of the same, I have developed gas problem in body. I have been taking 1 tablet of prolomet 25 mg in the morning and 1 tablet of telmisertin 40 mg in the evening for 10 days. I am taking following medicines: For BP : Telma Am 40mg & Prolomet XL 50 MG - one each in the morning Telma AM 40 Mg & Prolomet XL 25 MG - one each in the night For Diabetes : Invokana 100 MG - one in the Morning with Tea & Glycomet 1GM - after Breakfast and Dinner. Sugar and BP i s reasonably under control. But I have swelling in the ankles and tightness , pain , sometimes numbness. I am 51 female suffering from diabetes and high BP. I was on riomet 500 mg for Diabetes and Prolomet AM 25 and repace25 for BP. Generally well controlled .Last 15 days back my sugar was 200 PP and hence advised Gemer 1 mg once a day. I always have constipation with hard stools but from the past 10 days I strain a lot. From yesterday I am Advised Riomet 500 again and advised Lactihep syrup 10 ml twice. passed soft stools today with less strain although feel that I did not pass completely. Is it because of gemer tablet? Will a diabetic have constipation? My mother was diagnosed with Colon cancer this April 2015 and was operated. No chemotherapy suggested as she is 82 T3N1. But she is fine now.She never had constipation but rectum bleeding for 4 days. My grandmother and great grand mother ...
