Hello. I am a 26 year old male who has been struggling with opiate addiction for about a decade. Recently I tried the suboxone program which helped to a degree, but meds were way to expensive as well as the Drs appointment. So I am looking for help with my disease and I would like to know if methadone is the right route for me to go. Are there many people on this board that are going to a private Dr for pain meds? It seems almost every one is forced to go to a pain clinic and these clinics are horrible with all their rules and the way they treat chronic pain sufferers that are in need of pain medicine. I am being treated like a criminal over Clonazepam. I have to travel 8 hours to my original doctor who prescribed it to continue to get refills. I have an upper respiratory infection and they ask me if I am on a controlled substance. I didn't even realize I was. Then they want my Dr.'s information etc. This feels like an intrusion to my privacy. Do I have to provide that information for diagnosing and treating an upper respiratory infection?
