Age 65 yrs.; Female. Complaint: Osteoporosis. Continuously on pain relievers for a few years. No relief. Recently on Dr.'s prescription for Predmet 8mg - 3 times a day for 5 days with good relief. I am an Old Female Patient Age 81suffering from ILD (Interstices Lung Disease) and R.Arthritis. Having Predmet Since Last 4 Years With Varying Doses (16mg To 6mg) as per Doctors advise. Since last Six Weeks Dose of Predmet reduced to 4mg daily. In addition to General Weakness and Blood Sugar Disorder (which Is due to Predmet according to my Doctor), I am Suffering from Short Time Memory Loss during last 6 to 8 Months. Other Medicines taken are Ramistar5, Volibo03mg, Minipress XL5mg, Aztor20, Shelcal500 daily. Have BP 120/80 more Or less uniform Also Take Idrofos 150mg 1 Tab /month . My wife has been taking predmet 4 mg since last two years regularly , for first one year 8 mg daily , then 4 mg daily and since last 3 months 4 mg after one day intervel.She has stopped it las 15 days for some reason and today i have noticed some black spots in her body.Is it the side affect of sudden stop of using the drug ## I'm sorry, but what do you mean by black spots? My son is suffering from arthritis. He is also suffering from UVITIS (eye disease). The Eye Specialist has prescribed Predmet eye drops. He has been using the drops for the last two years. Are there any side effects associated with long term use? ## Predmet is an excellent drug but only to be used for a very, very short time -- max 4 days and on the 4th day only 1/2 is given, not the full amount. My Rheumatologist gave me 10 mg for a year and my bones fell apart. Now I'm getting poison to try to get some bone mass back. I am 14 years old. One week before a ball hit on my left eye. I got severe injury. Doctor suggested me to take Predmet 8 mg tablet 6 per day (for every three hours for the first 5 days). Later I can decrease the dosage to 4 per day for the next five days and 2 per day for the another five days. Is is cause any side effect later in my life? I was diagonised fungal infection last year and advised Predmet 8 mg bd and also taking Bod zedex syrup for coughing and regular use of inhaler Aerocote twice. Used this course for 4 months and was recovered. Now after period of 5-6 months ,I feel a little problem of coughing and sputum . Though sputum does not much say 3-4 spots daily , but wheezing often during day time and more while sleeping . Advise in this situation can I continue use of Predmet for a few days to get relief and whenever I face this problem sometime in between. Whether by using it wil be harmful and have undesired side effects. Hi, I was having severe urticaria from last 30 last days and i took several medicines like atrax, predmet, avil but nothing was happening. So my doctor gave me OMNACORTIL 20mg for 10days but I took only for 5days because my allergy was cured. When I didn't take omnacortil on my 6th day then i had swelling on face and lot of body pain.
