oblong pill light blue and gray with a 5 on it... row of 5 small hard to see dots in a row ... 3 just like that ## My dog found exactly same pill as described. Unable to locate info anywhere. It's actually a fully compressed oblong tablet with a Blue removable capsule "cap" with a 5 on it - which apparently serves no purpose, as when it is removed from the tablet, nothing changes in the characteristics of the grey tablet, measures approx 2cm in length. On the grey tablet itself, there are 5 white dotted lines. The blue is just a plastic covering to 1/3 the tablet. ## I found the exact same pill today. I just received a prescription from my primary care doctor. I asked him for it and he agreed to a few month trial and monitor blood pressure. I'm about 50 pounds overweight. I had taken didrex in the 80's and it worked well! He prescribed benzphetamine a generic form. It has the same effect as the brand name I used to take. It is pink, round and stamped with k40 on it. I'm sure there are other generic brands. The answer to is it banned is no, but my pharmacy had to order it. It's certainly not banned in tennessee! ## It is still available, as a generic, as you said, but many doctors prefer to use more recently discovered medications that have undergone more safety testing.
