My friend has been on Zytiga for the last five weeks. Last week his blood was tested for PSA and it showed increase from 35 to 90. This has shocked us. The pain is moderate and continues to be so. Does anyone have similar experience i.e. PSA going up. Does it come down once it goes up during treatment? ## PSA levels can increase initially with Zytiga before the levels start to fall. PSA levels can be misleading since they are an indirect marker of cellular debris from the prostate cancer. As the tumour dies off the PSA levels can rise as more cellular debris enters the bloodstream. Eventually this should fall to a lower level after 3 months. If Zytiga fails to work then you should try Salvestrols which work beyond Zytiga.

I was recently prescribed propranolol, 10 mg, as needed for performance anxiety. Took it before a presentation I had to give two nights ago and it helped. The performance went really well. The next day, something strange happened. I began having a panic attack in a restaurant. (I had one full-blown panic attack about 9 years ago and one near panic attack about 4 years ago, and these were both while I was having other significant issues in my life. Currently, I am in a very good place in life and have not had any problems with anxiety for quite a while, over 3 yrs). Anyways, this was unfortunately not the end of it. I happened to have the propranolol on me and took one on my way home in the car. It helped, but the anxiety resurfaced that evening. Next day (today), I had about 3 or 4 near...

I am 63 years old, married and began taking Androgel to improve flagging performance. Recently I have found myself curious about child pornography. This is completely foreign and disturbing to me and I have to assume it is related to increased testosterone levels somehow. It is not something one mentions easily to their doctor but I am wondering if anyone feels comfortable enough here to relay similar concerns. If others have experienced similar, the word should be spread ## Hello, Joe! How are you? There have been many posts on here about testosterone replacement therapy and I have never read mention of this type of thing, before. If it was caused by higher testosterone levels, you should have experienced that, when your own natural levels were higher. I understand why you'd find i...

I have a 12 year old son who has been taking Vyvanse for the last 6 months. His performance has been outstanding, but he has not grown in height since he started the Vyvanse. He grew eight inches in the year priort to taking the meds. We've taken him off for the summer, but does anyone else have experience with this? ## The FDA actually does acknowledge that growth stunting has been known to occur in some kids that take stimulant medications for ADHD and, if it occurs, they may need to stop the medication. Learn more Vyvanse details here. Have you informed his doctor? They are actually supposed to monitor the weight and growth of children that are taking these medications, on a regular basis.

I can't find any information on specifically how long before a meal to take Belviq to get the optimal performance from the medication. I just started on it yesterday and want to make sure I'm giving this my best try. ## Hello, CB! How are you? From what I'm reading on the Belviq site, there is no particular time span that it needs to be taken before a meal, as a matter of fact, they say it can be taken with or without food, so if it causes nausea, you may want to take it with food to help minimize that. Other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include dizziness, changes in memory or thinking, irritability, anorexia and anxiety. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I think it is around 2 hours. I would take it first thing in the morning and then late after...

Erectile Dysfunction Drug Category

Erectile dysfunction (ED) is sexual dysfunction characterized by the inability to develop or maintain an erection of the penis during sexual performance.[1] A penile erection is the hydraulic effect of blood entering and being retained in sponge-like bodies within the penis. The process is often initiated as a result of sexual arousal, when signals are transmitted from the brain to nerves in the penis. Erectile dysfunction is indicated when an erection is difficult to produce. There are vario...

Bacopa Monniera has several primary clinical uses- its a powerful free radical scavenger within the CNS and contributes to increased cognitive performance if taken consistently for 3months. It's second adventitious property is its ability to attenuate the development of tolerance to morphine and therefore increase effective chronic administration therapeutic benefit(s). How exactly this occurs is not entirely known, but it is important to note here that MORPHINE is not the same as other opiates that are not mu agonists and/or are not excreted by the body via conjugation phase I/phase II glucuronidation reactions. Whether BM (haha) works similarly with all variations of agonist/partial agonist/agonist-antagonist opiates is not known. Four other ethneogens associated w/attenuating or pre

I have been taking losartan for approximately a year and a half. I have found a very wide variation from month to month in the performance of this generic. The Teva losartan made me so ill that I had to be hospitalized. I recovered practically overnight after going on the hospital's losartan. Since then I have been on a losartan made by Aurobindo. I am going to request that my pharmacist find another company because I find that my blood pressure varies with each new bottle of pills. Not good. Given the recent article in the New York Times about the problems the FDA has had in policing generics from both India and China, I will try to avoid manufacturers from either country. Except for neurologists, I find most medical professionals are not well informed about the problems with gener...

I was born in 1942 and used Mazon from when I was 7 or so until I was in my late teens and the first cortisone ointment became available -- tiny amount for a high price and wonderful performance. When I was using Mazon I was using a huge amount, as I had horrible rash over much of my body for long periods, and sometimes secondary infections. Mazon did seem to reduce the itching and the rash. I've always wondered how much mercury was in it and it its accumulation had something to due with my mental instability then and subsequently. Mad as a hatter, at times, I think. I have no desire to sue anybody or anything like that, but I certainty went overboard in using it when the eczema was bad. Hi...my boyfriend has been prescribed coveram 5/5 since using it he's been getting headache everyday, feeling dizzy and sleepy. Should he keep taking it? He's performance at work has been affected by this. How long does the medication wears off after taking it? ## Hello, Maria! How are you and your boyfriend? How long has he been taking the medication? Those can be typical side effects of it, as listed by the FDA, he may also experience increased urination and hypotension. Typically, side effects are transient and will improve, then go away entirely, after about 4 to 5 weeks, once his body gets used to the medication. However, if they do not go away, or if they worsen, he should consult his doctor as he may need to try a different medication.

My Dr retired. I am having a very hard time finding another dr to prescribe me aderral. I quit taking them 2 months ago but have recently been told by my District Manager in a confidential meeting that my work performance has decreased & my error ratio is above what is allowed. I am going to lose my job if I cannot obtain a Dr to prescribe me meds needed desperately at this point. My family has also talked with me in a family meeting regarding my attention span and the 16 unfinished projects around my home. I live in Michigan, not far from Detroit. But all 3 doctors have told me that since I have quit taking aderrall they see no reason for me to begin again. I did find one Dr however, he does not take my insurance and wanted $415.00 for the office call alone I just cannot believe my...

Hello all, I am a 21 yo male and I have been on Vyvanse for close to four months now. I was prescribed 30mg pills for ADHS at the begging of the summer and really noticed a huge difference in my overall performance at work and in dealing with people. After two months I noticed the effects seemed to taper off earlier throughout the day and only last around 5-6 hours. I then decided to take one pill in the morning and one at mid day as to combat this "come down" earlier on. At the end of 15 days I was out of the drug due to working many days straight and not taking breaks form my medication. At my last Dr. visit I asked to be bumped up to 50mg due to this tapering effect. The doctor obliged and once I filled my script I was back to the normal effects. Unfortunately the past couple...
