Percocets Hydrocodone
32 Topics FoundIm wondering why I would be able to take darvacett & percocetts but I cant take vicodin. Arent theese medications all the same? Would the fact that I have a codeine allergy make a difference? Thanks. ## They are all opiate medications, but not all the same. Darvocet, which is no longer available contained Acetaminophen and Propoxyphene, Percocet contains Oxycodone and Acetaminophen, while Vicodin contains Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen. What problem do you experience, when you take Vicodin? Some work better for some people than others and some do cause more or worse side effects in some people, it really just depends on your body chemistry. That's why there are usually several options available in any given therapeutic category. The FDA classifies these medications as narcotic an...
Have been taking pain meds for 8 years due to terrible back. Have had 4 back surgeries with 3 of them since 2014, the last one was August 2016 which was spinal fusion L4/5 with screws, plate, rod and pins! Also suffer from fibromyalgia which is bad this time of year. I have been taking percocets 10mg x 6 daily since last surgery. Last week switched from pain management to primary physician due to cost and drive an hour away. Am now been switched to hydrocodone 10mg 4 x a day and tramadol 50mg 2 x a day. I miserable pain has increased? Having leg aches, body aches and seems pain gets worse an hour after taking hydrocodone. Is this crazy? I can't live like this. I have family I take care of, also back pain is worse with nerve pain in left leg. Neurosurgeon told me I would have some of...
What is the difference between hydrocodone, and oxycodone? For example is five milligrams of each equal to each other? We had a debate at work talking with someone w/o just had surgery, and no one seemed to know. Thanks! ## Hello, Firefly! How are you? Oxycodone is actually a bit stronger than Hydrocodone, you'd only need 3.33mgs of it to be equal to each 5mgs of Hydrocodone. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## What can I get to help with the inching from Percocets or any other pain meds
I am trying to substitute for 10/650 Percocet. When I see my MD soon, I was going to ask for the equivalent Percodan instead ( afraid of liver damage after many years )...will I have problems adjusting and what is Percodan equivalent to (3) 10/650 Percocets day? Also, Is Tramadol the only way to get off this on my own? I hate taking it and have cut dose down over last year very difficult to do. ## do u think hydrocodone 5/325mg is right to be taken witht the patient with AlS? ## Have you tried or heard of Suboxone? It is a medication designed to help patients get off of opioid medications.. it can only be prescribed by a psych (with a licence to prescribe suboxone) or an addiction doc. Not that youre addicted.. but generally speaking after years of opioid use, getting off of the med ...
7.5-750 Vicodin or 5-325 Percocet --- Which is stronger? ## Hello, Jan! How are you? These are actually equivalent. So, neither is really stronger, it just depends which works better for you. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Vicodine IS Hydrocodone. Hydrocodone is the name of opiate found in many different types of pain meds. Same as Oxycodone is the type of opiate found in percocets, tylox, roxicets, etc. Lortab, vicodine, hydrocodone, and many others are same just different names. It's the mg and the other stuff in pain pills that is what's important. ## Obviously percoce...
Can medication listed in title cause liver (Bilirubin) increases? My Bilirubin labs have been coming back at at 1.6-1.9. Can it be harmful in the long run? ## The APAP is medication speak for Acetaminophen and it is very well known that long-term use of it can have detrimental effects on the liver. Have you spoken to your doctor about it? If you require a narcotic analgesic, you may need to switch to something that doesn't have the Acetaminophen in it. ## Get off that crap. Acetaminophen will destroy your liver. You're getting 5 mg hydro & 500 acetaminophen. They make percocets in low doses and with no acetaminophen. It is in the oxycodone family... but it is usually not teamed with acetaminophen. ## What are the long term implications of taking Hydrocodone? Has anyone taken...
After diagnosis of lupus... been on hydrocodone and percocets for 4 years now... up to 40 a day at 10mg.... to say the least I'm over that addiction. However... after thinking it through...I decided to start the process.... last night was the worst night of my life! From extreme stomach pain to violent diarrhea and vomiting... to chills sweat and again the runs... wow!.. now it's time again to think about taking 8mgs more of naltrexone....? Should I? Would you? ## Naltrexone only prevents you from taking opiates, because it prevents them from having an effect. It actually does nothing to help prevent the withdrawal effects. As a matter of fact, if you took it too close to having taken the last narcotics, so you weren't in full withdrawal, it may have thrown you into precipit...

Almost all Percocets except the ones that have A332 and I can't understand why? When I take that kind of Percocet I am so ill I want to jump out of my own skin but when I take the ones that say A332 I am fine. They do not make me mean and ill and I'm wondering why if they all have the same thing in them? I have had seven hip surgeries and Percocet seems to help some. What is a Vicodin? I thought it was just another name for a hydrocodone. Is it stronger? ## Percocet contains Acetaminophen, and Oxycodone, while Vicodin contains Hydrocodone, and Acetaminophen. Of the two, Oxycodone is stronger. The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Ref: Oxycodone Info...

Norco contains 10 mg of Hydrocodone Bitartrate and 325 mg of Acetaminophen. Pills with the imprint "A332" are generic Percocet manufactured by Activis. These percocets contain 325 mg of Acetaminophen and 7.5 mg of oxycodone hydrochloride. Hope this helps.
my husband was adicted to percocets and went on suboxen, now he says he need xanax to relax. ## Xanax is a Benzodiazepine, highly addictive. I worry that he is just trading one addiction for another. ## Not only is it addictive... there have been a number of deaths reported in people mixing suboxone and benzo's. It's very dangerous. And, this is coming from someone who had NO FEAR in taking high, dangerous levels of things.... I can take 40 hydrocodone's in a day, easy and mix it with other stuff too. But, I would not mix suboxone with benzo's. ## I am having a procedure done and the dr is prescribing vicodin. I am currently on suboxone. I WILL NOT take the vicodine unless I am in excrutiating pain. Would the suboxone help me with pain like the vicodine? Or how long shou...
Is their a difference between the two? ## I hace severe/chronic sciatica and the doctor has been proscribing Vicodin/hydrocodone for years......2 at a time and some days, as much as 4 doses. Recently he cut the tylenol portion so that it would be safer for my liver than the previous 10/660 and 10/500 tablets. Accordingly, he prescribed small amounts of Percocets (10/325 E712) and Hydrodone Norco (10/325) so that I could decide which worked better for me. My initial reaction was that 2 of the percocet compared to 2 of the hydro manifested mainly in drowsiness. I found the hydro to be a bit more effective for pain management and I was able to function, feeling good, whereas the Percocet only made me want to sleep, groggy and a bit out of sorts while still feeling a good amount of pain: Qu...
I recently, had my med changed from vicodin 7.5mg 5xqd to lortab 10-500mg tablet. 5xqd question is, "Is the lortab a higher dose of medication than the vicodin. ## Lortab and Vicodin both contain Hydrocodone, a synthetic opiate or opioid, as their narcotic analgesic. As such, your dosage strength increase is only in the amount of pills you are now taking, not in the opioid ingredient. Oxycodone, used in Percocets and OxyContin, is slightly stronger . . . a 5/325 Perc is equivalent to a 7.5 Lortab. I am not gonna go into the added NSAIDs like THVQEDylenol, ASAP, or aspirin on this question. The best of luck and the least of pain to you . . . Q ## Vicodin and Lortab both contain Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone, so you were taking 7.5mgs of the Hydrocodone and your dosage has been raised...
Found bottle of oblong white pills at friend's house who had prob with rx vicodin & percocets. (Seems to be clean for awhile) Smallish, white, oblong pills. Said she she got from hosp awhile ago when she was 'still using.' Not scored, and imprint scratched out on other side. !!! ## Vicodin usually isn't on the smallish side, because the amount of Acetaminophen in them tends to make them larger, once it's added to the Hydrocodone with the other binders and fillers. Learn more Vicodin details here. They are usually about the size of a large, oblong potent multivitamin, such as Centrum, give or take a slight fluctuation in size, but that should give you an idea. And if the imprint has been scratched off, then yes that is very suspicious. A hospital wouldn't be a...
I have reverse swan neck and it has caused 3 herniated discs in my neck. I currently take 3 10 mg percocets daily and 2 20 mg opana ER's. I'm not really getting the relief I'd like. What would be a logical upgrade in my meds? ## Although I don't have personal experience with these types of medications, I thought I'd still go ahead and post a list of other possible options for you. Some types of opioid drugs include: codeine (only available in generic form) fentanyl (Actiq, Duragesic, Fentora) hydrocodone (Lorcet, Lortab, Norco, Vicodin) hydromorphone (Dilaudid, Exalgo) meperidine (Demerol) methadone (Dolophine, Methadose) morphine (Avinza, Kadian, MS Contin, Ora-Morph SR) oxycodone (OxyContin, Oxyfast, Percocet, Roxicodone) I think there's some speculation as to ...
It's an orange pill that dissolves under the tongue that has a cross on one side. Goes from 2mg to 8mg. I have been on this for 2 years to help in my addiction to opiates. ## I have been on percocets for 2 years and I would really like to go off, does saboxin help Pain that you truely have? or does it just take the edge off? ## Yes Suboxone has an actual pain killer i it that can not only help with existing pain but stop the pain pill withdrawal symptoms in their track when you cannot take the vicodin, percocets, hydrocodone, or whatever opiate you are on any longer. ## i am swiching from methadone to saboxin in 5 days is the start hard? ## Is it normal to feel 4C4 high when given 1st. dose of saboxin ? ## I live in Dayton Ohio and I am fighting my addiction to opiates.I have taken ...
Is the watson 820 4.5/0.38/325mg stronger than the watson 843 10mg hydrocodone 325mg? ## Hello, I was able to identify the yellow pill with the WATSON 820 imprint as aspirin (325 mg) + Oxycodone hydrochloride (4.5 mg) + oxycodone terephthalate (0.38 mg). However, I haven't been able to find a match for the other pill you are describing (yellow Watson 843). Are you saying the dosages for the Watson 843 pill are (325 mg) of acetaminophen and (10 mg) of Hydrocodone? I've read that Oxycodone is generally 1.5 times more more potent than Hydrocodone, however it will really depend on the person taking it. From what I've read, some people find Percocets (Oxycodone + Acetaminophen) to be stronger than Vicodin (Hydrocodone + Acetaminophen) - and vice versa- so who's to say how you...
the delotta helped my back pain better than hydrocdone , is it the same as in what harm can it do to your body?i have degerate disk diease and scholisis ## The name of this medication is often misunderstood, but the correct name for it is Dilaudid, it contains the active ingredient Hydromorphone. This is manufactured by Rhodes Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 7.5mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, which is a generic for Percocet. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## IS RP 10 325 A HYDROCODONE OR OXYCODONE? What kind is this ## Hey the pills with RP on one side and 10 325 on the other side are generic percocets containing 10mg of oxycodone and 325mg of acetaminophen. Hope this helps
