I have been taking pantium pantoprazole 40mg. While on holidays I discovered actavis pantoorazol 40mg (much cheaper). I m presuming the two are the same , just different manufacturers. It is not nexium, it's one generic for protonix. its made by another manufacturer, and beware it's not as effective as protonix, but fda says its eqivilent to protonix, which is brand name. the one you described is made by sunpharma. nexium and protonix are brand names and both work for me, but each is a different medication. ## There are actually severally manufacturers of the generic version and there can be differences between them, so one may not work as well for you as another. If you are getting them by prescription, from your pharmacy, you can ask them if they can order in the one that works best for you, or try a different pharmacy. Are there any questions or comments?

while going to bed for sleeping at night i could not sleep due to feeling of burning in my both eyes then i have to try to release gas from my stomach thru my mouth.this process takes about half an hour & while releasing gas from the mouth it comes with a shouted vioce which distrubes not only to my family members but nieghbor also. i take my lunch before 10 am dinner before sun set every day after that i do not take any food except milk & fruits up to 9 pm.i have taken all medicines of all tpye of pathy but i could n't get any relief since last 15 years.

I was non symptamatic before taking pantoprazole. Now I have nausea, sleep problems and overall having stomach issues I did not have. Gastro doc prescribed after upper GI as a preventive measure. Ready to stop all together. ## Same problem here, once I take a Pantoprazole in the morning I cannot sleep the next night. Never had problems sleeping before. Will call the doctor and ask if something else is available. ## It can cause these types of issues, as side effects, in some people, so you both should contact your doctors and discuss trying something else. I also had problems with PPIs and had to stop using them. I recieved a prescription for Pantoprazole Sodium DR 40mg. But my pill looks completely different from what I've had in the past and is different from the descriptions I can find on what it should look like. I have a white, oval tablet with "97" imprinted on one side. The imprints vary between red or black in the same bottle. What do I have in my hands? Been on Protonix/Pantoprazole for a few years. Pill appearance often changes from oblong tan color, round tan color and now white oblong. What is up with that? Any change to effectiveness, complications? ## Well, I can't really tell you anything about them, without knowing the specific markings on them, however, what is most likely happening is that they are just manufactured by different companies. Make it go away. The rash on my hands is beyond belief since I was prescribed Pantoprazole. I am using fresh aloe and it only provides temporary relief. I just want the rash to go away. Pantoprazole tablets show color change after about a year from manufacture. Color changes from yellow to light green. Is this normal? ## Yes, some change to the color and efficacy level of the medication is normal, when they start to age, due to exposure to heat and light. The efficacy change is why most pills you receive from your pharmacy have an expiration date of only a year, once they are dispense to you. They tend to degrade over time. The degradation is slowed, if they are left in the original factory sealed bottle, but once it has been opened, then that changes. Are there any other questions?

I am having irregular periods due to which I am not able to conceive. doctor suggested me premarin tablet and panozen-DSR capsules.i want to know what is the use of these tablets in my case. plz help . ## The Premarin contains synthetic estrogens, but I have to say that it isn't likely to help regulate your cycle and enable you to get pregnant. Estrogen is usually what causes them to be irregular. If they are already irregular and you aren't ovulating, then you'd need some form of Progesterone to help. I just had my Pantoprazole refilled and the pills are different .The new pill is white and oblong with the numbers 1097 printed on one side.
