I take oxycodone 5 mg for back pain. I got the new K18 tablets and I read on another forum that you cant dissolve these pills. I have swallowing issues and have always chewed them. It's confusing because there is a score on the pills so I always thought that meant you could break them in half. I have been going to pain management for 20 years. This time around, I got a new Oxycodone Hydrochloride pill marked "RP-20", which doesn’t seem the same as other 20 mg pain pills I've had. Does anyone know if it's an instant release or extended release tablet? ## They are made by rhodes and I believe they are instant release. I have been on perocet 10/325 for many yrs, and now my Dr. Switched me to oxycodone HCl 20mg tablets.my question is, how do I know if it is a extended release or an instant release, as my script says neither on it ? what do they look like are they a small white pill ## There are a couple that are round and white, immediate release tablets. Just a few examples: White, round, m 0552 White, round, 4810 V There are also a few that are capsules. If these don't match the tablet in question, then please post back so I can check it for you.
