We've had many complaints about them not working as well as the old formulation and causing bad/unusual side effects. However, I'm sorry to inform you that there are no longer any generic versions of it on the market. The name brand Oxycontin is the only one that is now available. Having several on the market from various manufacturers made it harder to keep track of the supply and increased the risk of theft and diversion. There are generics available of the regular release formulation, which would be Roxicodone, but not for the time released. Is there anything else I can help with?

I was prescribed 1 to 2 15 mg Oxicodone Amide every 6 hours. The one manufactured by Amide is an instant release formulation, so it is meant to release all of the medication, as soon as you ingest them. Was on Norco 10-325 on and off for a few years due to back problems. Had l4/l5 Laminectomy and was sent home with 5mg oxicodone. It's been 16 days since surgery and I tapered down from 2.5 yesterday. I started taking Oxicodone or at that time it was Vicodin for pain 15 years ago. It started with one tablet in the morning and one in the afternoon. As the years went by and the pain increased due to two separate health issues I started taking Oxicodone 10mg 2-3 at a time four times daly. That comes to a total of approximately 120 mg a day.
