Is there a rebate card available for Soma? I have ins. but it's still an expensive co-pay. ## Um I get 90 pills for about $1.92, Soma is very inexpensive, on the Walmart $4.00 list ## I have a pinched nerve in my left shoulder and it goes across and down my back causing my muscle to stand up on my shoulder and it's painful and burns. Soma 350mg helps but my doctor said they couldn't write them anymore. I have tried different muscle relaxers and none work but soma (carisoprodol). Small pink pill with R33 is a 5mg Clonazapan, Generic for Klonopin. ## It is a Clonazepam tablet, but it is only 0.5mgs. Learn more Clonazepam details here. Hi I'm 26 with 5 kids. After my 3rd in 2010 a mri showed 4 bulging disks and a pinched nerve down my left leg. Was on hydro 5 5 ml a day naproxen a muscle relaxer an physical therapy. I became pregnant so I stopped everything. I lived in az at that time now I'm in tx. The pain has gotten so bad it's hard to care for 5 kids. I don't have insurance and I don't qualify for Medicaid. I have very bad back pain and I want to know if it is ok to take 300mg of IG322 with muscle relaxer 4211V.. I have been diagnosed with having a Back Sprain that may last for weeks!! ## Hello, Kriss! How are you doing? The capsule with the IG 322 300 marking is not an analgesic and isn't going to help with this type of pain. It contains 300mgs of Gabapentin, which is an anticonvulsant that can also help with some types of nerve pain, but it takes a month or more to have much effect. It is not prescribed to treat acute and temporary pain, because it will not help. Thus, you're likely to get more relief from the muscle relaxant. Has your doctor prescribed these?

Sorry about that typing on my phone. OK, 2 failed back surgery, this past week suffering with severe hip pain pulsing down my leg. This morning, I demanded X-Rays, they told me the report would faxed to Doc and to check with them In a few hours. I called and explained i was in severe pain and would like to be called as soon as possible. It took me 13 years to find something to help my chronic anxiety w/agoraphobia disorder and panic disorder, also insomnia and a.d.h.d. I'm on klonopin 3mg's a day. I was on Xanax 6mg's a day for around a year, but found out about the half-life of them, and I suffer from partial seizures, so they switched me to klonopin, which takes a long time to work for me. I need something for over active nerves, and panic attacks constantly, but Is there a drug that I can add to my klonopin, that works quick and remains in my body longer than xanax? I take gabapentin (Gralise) max dose daily for nerve pain. I get breakthrough pain at night. I have taken A muscle relaxer and hydroxyzine and seems to help some with the nerve pain. Any clues about why as well as if hydroxyzine would work alone for the nerve pain? ## It has some sedative like effects, which is why it is often used for anxiety, so it can cause some relaxation/sedation. I had a hemangiopericytoma removed from my cervical spine about 6 years ago and have had nothing but problems since. I can barely move my neck, have terrible cervical headaches (occipital mainly) and cannot find relief. I have tried the gamut of pain meds, nerve pills and muscle relaxers, with no success. Is Methocarbamol the same medication as Soma? ## It is Robaxin, a muscle relaxer. From what I see they are nothing like Soma. ## @Cindy, Both Soma (carisoprodol) and Robaxin (methocarbamol) are listed as muscle relaxers. From what I've read, both drugs also reportedly work in the same way - by blocking nerve impulses / pain sensations that are sent to the brain. However with regards to potency/efficacy I'm not sure how they compare, so you may have to discuss that with your prescribing doctor if it's something you're interested in trying. Hope this helps!
