Nerve Damage Treatment
41 Topics FoundI have been told, I have esophogus nerve damage. I have been told there is no treatment for it beyond a speach therpist. But I have pain at the bottom of my esophogus, and have been given Ryzolt 100 mg. I still feel the spams, but they don't hurt so much, for about five hours. This medication does't last for 24 hrs. Does any one else have this problem. I have been told it is rare. But still think, I can not be the only one. ## I don't have your problem, so hopefully someone who does will chime in. Do you know what caused the nerve damage? Ryzolt contains the active ingredient Tramadol, it is an analgesic, which is why it helps with the pain, however, no it usually won't last as long as time released medications. You may also experience side effects, such as: nausea, drow...
My husband has been on metanx for 4-5yrs,it has helped with neuropathy in feet, has any one experienced severe pain and swelling in hands as a possible side effect of too much B-6,long term use of mentanx ? ## Hi Karen, Does your husband work on the computer frequently? This is a common cause for pain and swelling in the hands, so I thought I'd ask. Interestingly enough though, I just checked the side effects of Metanx and common side effects include: Drowsiness; feeling of swelling of the entire body; mild diarrhea; numbness or tingling. That said, it could in-fact be that Metanx is causing those complications. Has he sought out any treatment options or decreased his use of the medication?
I've had surgery and pain block injections for damage to nerves in my lower spine from a 'spur' - neither helped. Been on painkillers daily for 35 yrs, tried everything and now at best left with 80% pain. Had 100mcg fentanyl patches and their effect lessened so now I'm on 62.5 mcg fentanyl + 3x 300 mg gabapentin + 3x 50 mg tramadol combined daily. Still in agony. Any suggestions to help me please? What is the maximum mcg strength of combined fentanyl patches that can be used together every 72 hours? Thanks.

I was recently placed on 75mg of Alond, pregabalina to help with possible spinal cord recovery, regeneration. ## Both of the medications you mentioned have been used to treat nerve pain, but there is nothing about them regenerating anything. Pfizer has even abandoned testing of Alond and no longer plans to pursue its production. I have had multiple back surgeries and have severe nerve damage and further disc issues in thoracic and neck. Been in PM for over 10 years and took many years to come up with combination that worked for me. He retired and sent to new doc who dropped me 3 months later after i expressed concern over being able to afford the treatment route of MRIs and surgeries. Now having hard time finding another and meds are out in few days. I have surgery documents and records from old doctor available but need doc who will write quickly as I will be ill in few days. In Tulsa or surrounding areas. Hell I'll go most anywhere at this point. Already in pain cause I've been stretching meds out and have apparently gone below point of therapeutic help . ## Hello, Mick! I broke my neck in 2001 and have nerve damage. It took 5 or 6 years to finally find something that allowed me to work and function. My great dr. Of 17 yrs left his practice , now I can't find anyone to see me let alone prescribe me my medication. I have never abused my medication but I am left to fend for myself. Don't know what to do in northern michigan. ## Hello, Jason! How are you? Due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, if you require medications on a long-term ongoing basis for the treatment of chronic pain, you'll need to see a pain management specialist, a general practice doctor won't be able to prescribe it for you. As to finding a new doctor, you can't really approach it from looking for a doctor that will prescribe medications. Doctor...
I have problem of colities, gastrities, which medicine will be best for me NUROKIND LC OR NUROKIND PLUS FOR TREATMENT OF LEFT LEG NEUROLOGICAL PROBLEM ## They are both just nutritional supplements that contains vitamins believed to help with nerve pain and damage, but whether or not either will help depends on what's causing your problem. Nurokind-LC: L-Carnitine, L-Tartrate, Methylcobalamin and Folic Acid. Nurokind Plus: Methylcobalamin, Folic Acid, Vitamin B6 and Alpha Lipoic Acid. Learn more vitamin details here. That said, I wouldn't recommend your taking either one, without checking with your doctor, since you have gastritis. When your stomach is in such a condition, it can be irritated and this condition made worse very easily, so you have to be extremely careful of what yo...
I've been taking Viibryd for about 2 months. All of a sudden I have hearing loss in my right ear. My doctor has me on a steriod treatment, thinking it maybe from nerve damage. I am just wondering if maybe it is from the viibryd and wanted to know if anyone else had any problems hearing. ## Hello, Cindy! How are you? Sorry about the hearing loss. I've searched various user based side effects reports, as well as the detailed clinical side effects and there has been no mention of hearing loss being associated with Viibryd. Additionally, I've not seen it posted on here from users, either. Learn more Viibryd details here. It may have caused it in you, because there's really no way to know how any given medication will affect any given person that tries it. Have you consulted ...

I took Lovenox as a post surgical bridge therapy for my coumadin needs. I had a radical prostectomy and began lovenox treatment about 30 hours afterwards. Within 2 days I was readmitted to the hospital with a massive internal hemitoma. My bladder tore away from my urethra and left me with permanent nerve damage in my legs and facing numerous surguries including urethra reconstruction. I've had a catheter for over a year and a half. Be VERY careful with this drug. I now opt for heparin which is monitored in Hospital until my coumadin levels are acceptable. This drug is not FDA approved for these uses, please use caution.
Filed under LovenoxI was thrown to the floor about three months ago. I went to the hospital and the doctor said i have nerve damage and that it would go away in a matter of weeks. Well it hasn't and the sensations getting worse down my neck, arms and legs. What do you think it is? ## Hello, Danny! How are you? Well, as listed by the NIH, those are classic symptoms of nerve damage, however, there is a chance that it is permanent, or that you suffered a pinched nerve that requires treatment. Are you on any medications? Have you revisited the doctor?
Hello, friends! I started the Fentanyl patch 100mc today after OxyContin treatment my highest dose was 80OP up to 4 per 24 hours. I suffer from agonizing chronic pain due to severe nerve damage in my feet (medical neglect and misdiagnosed 3 years ago). I've build up opioid tolerance pretty quickly, so my doctor suggested the Fentanyl patches, plus, I felt "victimized by the system" - all and everyone plays the "Cops", lecturing me about the risks of opioids, treating me like a "junkie". Nothing against those that use these meds recreationally, but because of those very people, I will convulse in ER, and the attending doctor will insist on reaching my neurologist first before administering the pain relief... Finally, my doctor suggested these patches - I am MO...
Shortly after treatment with harvoni I noticed a clear mucous leaking from my but ## I also have had a clear slimy mucous leaking from my butt after a 12 week treatment with Harvoni It has changed to now having leakage of liquid stool and pooping out mucous strings with no BM I have been to several doctors with no answer but I am scheduled for tests of nerve damage in anal sphincter. ## From what I've read, diarrhea is reported to be one of the most common side effects of Harvoni (ledipasvir + sofosbuvir). However this is the first time I heard about 'clear mucous' being an issue. When it comes to any unusual symptoms I would encourage you to report them to the FDA via their MedWatch program, which can be reached at: fda.gov/Safety/MedWatch Hopefully it'll get better in ...
