Can i take 500mg methocarbamal and 300mg gabapentin and what are the side effects ## Hi babygurl, According to umm.edu's drug interaction checker, there are no interactions listed between Methocarbamol and Gabapentin. However, cross referencing this on other webpages has brought up a notation about Methocarbamol and Gabapentin potentially causing an increase in certain side effects, such as an impaired cognitive function, dizziness, and drowsiness. Other than that, it seems to me like there shouldn't be any complications outside of their own individual list of side effects. Furthermore, in the event that you ever did experience these side effects (knock on wood) you can always work with your doctor on developing a dosing schedule that helps minimize this risk of interaction betw...

I ran out of my tramadol was wondering if could be take the gabapentin in its place with my methacarbam muscle relaxants ? ## Hello, Slo! How are you? Gabapentin is not an actual analgesic, so it won't work like the Tramadol. As classified by the FDA, it's actually an anticonvulsant that can also help with some types of nerve pain and some mood disorders, but it must be taken for 4 to 6 weeks, before it will reach its full level of efficacy in the body and alleviate pain. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood swings and weight gain. Tramadol, however, is an opioid analgesic that carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and constipation.
