From what I understand (and please correct me if I'm wrong), batch numbers are generally only used by the manufacturer to keep track of production...Once it hits the shelf batch numbers don't appear to have any use, unless there's a recall or something of that nature which pinpoints specific packages. Perhaps speaking with a pharmacist can add some clarity to this? I had testosterone inj's. at my Drs, office and the chart only lists a lot number. How can I find out if these inj's. were generic or brand name drugs? ## @BillyG, From what I could gather, lot numbers are issued by the manufacturer of the medication. Apparently each batch of whatever product these manufacturers make are assigned this unique set of numbers to help them monitor and keep track of certain drugs that require recalls, shipping orders, or other important measures. One article I read suggested that it be thought of as a medication's social security number in that sense. I think the only way to know for sure what you were given at the doctor's office that day would be to call in or ask during your next appointment. I hope this helps!

I have been using bensedin diazepam at 40mg a day for months and have not needed to increase dose so that's good, on the other hand I seem to often get the same lot number 05697 exp 06/2020 last 4 strips all same batch apart from 1 strip. Anyone have horrible reactions with this batch number? All 4 needles caused fingers, toes to go numb. Could not get war - chills so bad I could hardly walk. Horrible pressure in base of neck. Contacted AVONEX - Biogen but they seemed not bothered. Obviously becayse they don't have to take the needles. I have recently got some bensedin with the new design, but obviously the same looking tablets. If you have not seen the new design Google ksalol new design, the bensedin is exactly the same but says bensedin 10mg. My lot number is 47651 exp 07 2024. I will be sending one of to wedinos as when I take one although it works and tastes right they seem to be giving me a slight headache left front side of my head. The only information I've been able to find is that it contains Paracetamol + Mahacef Plus; which is an antibiotic combination that contains Ofloxacin + Cefixime. In regards to the expiration date, I'm not sure how it works where you live, but in the U.S. prescription medications are required to have an expiration date of 1 year past the date that the medication is filled. They may still be ok to take after 1 year is up, but they will lose their potency. Some expired medications can actually be very dangerous. I have oxycodone 10’s (5 of them) and it looks like they got wet or something. The imprint is kind of faded. I can barely see the numbers and it didn’t take the pain away like it usually does. i have been taking wockha protonix 40 for a number of years. I just picked up my prescription and the pills look a darker than usual....they say w434 on them....i have been having stomach problems since i started on the latest batch of pills. has wockha made any changes? ## HI, Cindy! But the issue might really be that your body has just gotten used to them, so they are no longer working as well for you. Why have you been on them for so long? My pharmacy by mail sent me round orange tablets (7mm diameter, 2mm thickness) that were supposed to be 25mg of hydrochlorothiazide. They look like the last batch but the description on the label does not match the code stamped on the pills. The pills are plain on one side, with a scoring on the other for cutting in half. Above the score is capital I, and below the number 26. Is this company legitimate or what? 30mg in a dose is high in this form too. The batch I have ended up smelling of ammonia and makes me sleep. I had to throw the rest away.
