Losartan And Fatigue

I've been on a low dose of Losartan everyday and feel fatigued. How long before it goes away after stopping treatment? ## I too was having alot of side effects. The biggest ones were anxiety, neck and back pain, leg cramps especially at night, dry mouth, bad cough, felt tired all the time, dizziness when I got up, shortness of breath, felt foggy, like I wasn't really here, like in a bad dream and lastly I was getting really depressed! Well I cold turkey quit it (losartan 100 mgs a day for 6 months). I couldnt take it anymore. I didnt experience anything bad from stopping it cold turkey. If anything the next day I felt a little better and everyday after I started feeling better and better. Its only been 10 days that I quit it and every side effect is completely gone except the sh...

I take Losartan in the am and Paxil and Lipitor before bed. I find myself extremely tired and could sleep most of the time. I can't wait to got to bed. The first culprit that I would suspect for such a problem would actually be the Lipitor. It is classified by the FDA as being a statin medication and they cause problems for many people that take them, in quit a few cases, people have had to stop taking it altogether. I am taking losartan 100 mg tablet every morning before breakfast. I also take Plavix 75 mg and Levothyroxine 100 mcg in a.m. By lunch time I feel very tired and don't have much energy the rest of the day. After dinner I take Narvasc 5 mg, Zetia 10 mg, aspirin 325 mg, and cephalexine 250 mg. My doctor doesn't seem to be very concerned about the fatigue but I feel it is interfering with my life. Such as gardening, exercising, shopping, etc. Any suggestions? ## How long have you been taking these medications? I started Losartan (50 mg/1 per day) in May, after battling the Lisinopril cough for 2 months. I have had a lot of pain in my feet and my achilles tendon on one ankle. I am on 8mg candesarton and i am getting up at 6am to go to work coming home and falling asleep at 8pm at night. I exercise by walking,swimming and pilates. LOSARTAN REALLY CAUSED MONTHS OF ILLNESSES. I BEEN TESTED FOR ALOT THINGS AND CAME OUT FIND. I FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT IT'S THE LOSARTAN AND I IMMEDIATELY WENT OFF. I've been taking 100mg daily for three years. Seems to be working and dealing with most died effects I.e. Dizziness, fatigue etc. by taking the pill before bed so sleep through half a days worth of issue. I've tried several other meds that I could not tolerate so I've wanted to stick with losartan. The issue is that for the past 18 months the pharmacy continues to give me a large white pill from another manufacturer but I keep requesting the green oval pill. I have been taking clonidine for eight or nine years. It has always made me very tired, sleepy and fatigued. It also causes halusinations and lots of dreams. It has caused my hair to get really thin. The doctor has kept me on it because it lowers My pressure and so many of the other blood pressure medicines did not work. Have any of you had any of these problems including hair thinning? ## Yes, the FDA does list those as being possible side effects, you may also experience headaches, increased urination, and hypotension.
