Losartan 50 12 5 Mg

I have been taking losartan 50 mg a day, but divided in the morning and night. As my dr noticed side effects, I was later prescribed 25 mg. It has been 10 days but I have serious cramps in my legs when I'm jogging or walking. I'll consult with my dr... My bp is 120/80. Is there another medicine that will lower my bp but with less side effects than losartan? Or can I take half of 25mg one time a day? ## I am taking this drug as well with the same side affects. I was on losartan 50mg a little over 3 weeks and started having chest pain. The first 3 times I had chest pain thought it might be heartburn. By the fourth week of taking losartan this pass Monday night I thought I was having a heart attack. Called my dr and went in they did an EKG (everything was fine) and the dr. did not want me to come off the losartan she now prescribed losartan with a 12.5 water pill. My doctor took me off Lisinopril 10 MG Tab and put me on Losartan 50-12.5MG Tab because my potassium was too high. Looking at the containers each came in, I see that they both have potassium in them. How is it helping to switch me from one to the other except that the Losartan costs more? Terrible angina on minor exertion. Legs need cat scan for vascular blockage. Isosorbide 30mg helps angina for 12-15 hours then I might need a small nitro tablet. Also the isosorbide has made my blood pressure perfect. This after a four year battle just taking 25 mg metropolol twice a day a 50 mg of losartan once. I have been taking metoprolol tar 25 mg twice a day for years. I have had 2 open heart surgeries 10 yrs apart, diagnosis coronary artery disease and hypertension. Also take lopressure 10 mg daily and imdur 120mg twice daily for angina. My Bp skyrocketed to 210 over 108 about 3 weeks ago was admitted to hospital to bring it down.
