Has anyone ever reported the drug being less efficient or to cause illness after being taken several years? ## Being less effective after a long period of time on the same dosage is common with all drugs. As your body adjusts to that dosage, you continue to need higher dosages to get the same effects.

I have looked extensively for info with my situation but haven't found much. when I was 15 I started doing pills, and it resulted in 5 yrs of heavy addiction to xanax, up to the point of doing about 30 mg per day and drinking in excess. Throughout the 5 years I also did other pharms: Hydrocodone (only a couple times, wasn't a fan) Amitriptilene and Nortriptilene (for about 6 months with Xanax) Rohypnol (for about 6 months with Xanax) Marijuana (entire time with Xanax, and still smoking to this day) I have been clean now for 4 1/2 years (with the exception of occasional marijuana use) and thought my brain would be more recovered by now but its not. I was on this drug and taking it regularly for way too long. Where or does anyone know the long term effects are for this drug? Will my brain be permanently damaged? I have been on rivaroxaban for a year now. Was told that I have to take it for life due to extent of dvt in my left leg. I have had no side effects at all. Until the last few weeks where I have had a lot of nausea and headaches. I feel like it is unrelated to the meds . My wife thinks it is. I am now wondering if it is the meds causing g it. Have been using cardizem for 7 years and would like to know if there are any long term side effects...I seem to be having some trouble cognitively and my great aunt who was on it ended up with dementia...was curious if there was any correlation between the brain and the drug. Also the buildup of fluid has been extensive even with watching the salt intake. Also taking daily ranexa, eliquis, lasix, spirivia, albuterol. The effects were quite significant - i was always tired, even after sleeping for 8 - 12 hrs; i was always grumpy; i forget many things; long & short term, i stopped having my period after 2 yrs & didn't have them for 3 yrs. taking paragoric as a child for many years , 1 or 2 T each day, whenever my mom felt I needed. Now I have colitis, severe headaches. stomach problems, constipation and overall have never felt in good health. ## this site is not medical professionals, so we can't possibly say for certain that any medication caused these problems, though it is possible, many do have detrimental effects with long-term usage. Have you spoken to a doctor? It is also very important to rule out other things, such as other health conditions, that may be causing these issues.

For the last 2 1/2 years, I've been receiving venofer infusions (series of 10 every other day) approximately every 3 months due to extreme iron deficiency anemia with no cause identified. I finished a round of 11 infusions 12 days ago, when my ferritin counts weren't that low at 25, nor was my hemoglobin at 10.0. I'm a teacher and my hemotologist said she wanted to build me up over the summer. Three days ago, I started having very black stools, nausea, weakness and fatigue, and total loss of appetite. I had Harvoni treatment last spring. I am not the same. My nervous system is a wreck. My anxiety problems have increased, depression and lack of motivation. My eyes changed drastically. My thoughts are not focused, I am nervous all the time, can focus or sleep. I had a 2 month migraine. Ringing in the ears is intense. I have been using co aleva for about three years. I take only one tablet every 3 days for I found this dosage sufficient in controlling my recurring rhinitis. I take codeine 5mg for pain due to a pinched nerve. If I take 7/day I am pretty much pain controlled and can go about my day. My Dr. wants me go decrease that to 4/day, but even at 6/day my pain level is about 3. I had a stem cell transplant almost 4 years ago. I have been on bactrim, diflucan, tacrolimus and valtrex for 4 years. I am having pain in my upper arm, thoracic spine and cervical spine. It's muscle/tendon issues not bone.
