I HAVE USED THIS MEDICATION FOR SEVERE PAIN. AS OF 2014 THEY WILL NO LONGER COVER THIS DRUG. WHAT WOULD WOULD BE THE SAME AS THIS DRUG THAT THEY MAY COVER? GENERIC IF POSSIBLE. ## Hello, Joyce! How are you? Who will no longer cover it, your insurance company? If so, you may want to ask them what they will cover, or ask your pharmacist. Without knowing your insurance carrier, everyone else can really only make random guesses.

I am super scared... I have taken a total of 17 hydrocodone 10/300 today. I read (afterward) that 90mg of hydrocone is lethal. I have tried to make myself vomit to get the last pills out, but I cant tell if what is coming up is a dissolved pill or just mucus. I dont want to die!! I dont know what to do. But I can see how the 10mg ones would be double that price because the non-acetaminophren part (the Hydrocodone itself) is the narcotic, but more than $1 a pill just doesn't seem right.

I am trying to find out how many Tylenol codein 300-30 I would need to take to be equilivant to Norco 10-325 ? I have had a different prescription and I want to make sure I am not over doing the codein ## Hello, Ruth! How are you? Each 30mgs of Codeine is equivalent to 4.5mgs of the Hydrocodone, so taking one Norco 10/325 is actually over twice as strong. So even with the difference in milligrams I'm going to have to assume that the generic norco you have may be more potent from what I've read online. While everyone's experience may be different, I have also seen comments from patients who've tried both and feel that "10mgs" of hydrocodone far exceeds the potency of "60mgs" of codeine. Though that may not be as accurate for someone else with a different tolerance, it does go to show that hydrocodone is superior and probably shouldn't ever be substituted for codeine in that sense. We thought that a few years ago the FDA mandated that the level of Acetaminophen be reduced ## Yes, it was mandated that the amount of Acetaminophen in combination prescription medications be lowered to no more than 325mgs per dose, the FDA put this regulation in place a few years ago. But with just the 300mgs, the only one currently listed as still being available is 10/300mg. However, there is a 7.5/325mg dosage available. I have a tropical flavored hydrocodone-apap liquid but it doesn't say the strength?!! How much wud I need to take to equal 1 yellow 10/325 norco? It says take 1 teaspoon every 4-6 hrs for cough. There was only DICODID made by knoll in Germany but it was withdrawn last year. Only Hydrocodone now available is ZOHYDRO SR in the USA. It is also made in combination with high amounts of acetaminophen, usually 325, 500 or 650mg, one goes as high as 750mg! But there is legislation coming into force limiting any dosage unit of acetaminophen (paracetamol) in the USA (where 100% of the entire world's Hydrocodone is now used since the deletion of DICODID) to 300mg. Abbott have already issued their new 10/300mg pill. But I am afraid that Hydrocodone as a single drug now is only available as an SR med under that ZOHYDRO brand. I was on hydrocodone 10/500 for years. Took myself off them when I lost my Insurance and had to take tylenol 500mg (was taking 12-16)a day >This started to cause liver damage so I was put on Tramadol 300mg (i per day and this is working nicely for me.just don't like the dizziness I get sometimes. I have a large, very painful hemangioma on my S1. I have been given hydrocodone-acetaminophen 10-325,ibuphrophen 800 mg, gabapentin, 300 mg and Tizanidine 4 mg which helps. Over the weekend, I have run out of Tizanidine and am in a lot of pain, also the sciatica is the worst.
