What dosage was the Lortab that you were taking? Most of them have a lower dose of Acetaminophen in them now, which could explain why it isn't helping your pain as much. From what I hear, the combination of Hydrocodone + Acetaminophen seems to be a common choice for many post operative dental procedures. I believe 10mg is also highest you can get for this particular medication, so I'm guessing the pain is probably pretty severe without this high of a dose. I've been approximately 10 years on hydrocodone acetaminophen 10-500. It now has been changed to Hydrocodone-acetaminophen 10-325 without any consultation. My Dr. Switched my medication from hydrocodon-acetaminophn 10 - 325 to the 7.5 -325 starting this month Dec. 3rd. That's when I got them from the pharmacy,so I've been taking them for 10 days. I’m SUPER conserned because my pharmacy has switched from the yellow Qualitest Norco to 2 different brands I must choose from: Tris Pharma & Lupin Pharma. They are 10/325 Norco. I have Trigeminal Neuralgia, fibromyalgia, back surgeries in past and I’m told in future. I can’t stand the idea of being in pain all month. Any advise on which brand to get? I am super scared... I have taken a total of 17 hydrocodone 10/300 today. I read (afterward) that 90mg of hydrocone is lethal. I am recovering from back surgery and have the generic Norco 10-325. They have not been effective in the dosage of 1 every 6 hours. My problem is at night when the dull ache keeps me from sleeping. My Dr changed me from 10-325 to 5-325 because I broke the pill on half. The 10's were barely working. He said they did not appear in my metabolites. I called him out on this bc he must have lied. I have a right below the knee amputation due to a land mine that happened in 1968, have never needed pain meds up until 2 to 3 years ago at which time my doc prescribed hydroc/apap 10-650 mg--formerly lortab.Now it has been changed to the same thing only in a 10-325 mg which from what I have been told was due to a change in the law Jan 2014-the 10-650 did a fair job if I oook one every 4 hrs of course the 10-325 do not seem to help very much, have about a 8 out of ten on the pain chart. My wife was given Oxycod/ap 5-325 when she had Cancer surgery, I have taken some of the leftovers and can go 8 to 10 hrs without much pain at all. I'm recovering from my third back surgery. I can take hydrocodone/acetaminophen 10-325 mg tab with no stomach problems. However, when I take hydrocodone/acetaminophen 7.5-325mg tab Mallinc generic, I have severe stomach pains. The pharmacist says there is no difference except the 10 vs the 7.5.
