I have never used any contraception pills in my life. And I want to use oralcon. When do I start using it? ## You can start it, at any time. The U.S. FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, spotting, and PMS-like symptoms. Typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irregular bleeding, and PMS-like symptoms. However, if you want to get pregnant, why are you taking this medication?

Hello I would like to find out if Oralcon causes acne? I've been on it for about 1 and 1/2 half years and my face looks like a fruitcake, keep in mind I am now 28 years old and have never suffered from acne. Thank You ## Hello, Farah! How are you? Yes, it may cause acne in some women that take it. You may just need to try a different to prevent that from occurring. There are other options available with different levels of hormones in them that may not cause you the same issue. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have been using petogen for 3 months and I was having non-stop periods and the doctor gave me oralcon. During the week that I was taking oralcon, I was taking the pill at different times and sometimes skipped taking it. I have been intimate with my partner without the use of protection. Could I fall pregnant? ## If you weren't using any protection, at all, then yes, there is a risk of pregnancy. Have you had a test done to check for pregnancy? Why did you stop taking the Oralcon? Hi, I'm 16 years old and this is my second day using Oralcon and second day of my period. I can't really sleep because I feel like I need to throw up all the time. Is Oralcon safe for my health? Is this normal or should I stop? ## Hello, Maria! How are you feeling? Sorry about the nausea. This can be a side effect of some hormonal contraceptives, but it shouldn't be severe enough to keep you awake. Have you contacted your doctor? This might not be the right one for you to take and you may need to try a different one.

Hay, I've been on Oralcon for a year and a half, I have never missed a day. Me and my boyfriend had intercourse a week ago and now I am due for my period. I have my normal period pains. My period started a day early but a couple of hours after it started it disappeared. Was I spotting and could I be pregnant? ## If you didn't miss any tablets then there is not a high risk of your being pregnant. According to the NIH, some women just have shorter periods while taking oral contraceptives, and some women stop having them, completely. Has there been any change? Are you on any other medications?

Hi , I've just started using Oralcon from using Yasmin. Is there a big difference between the two ? Because I am worried it might have a different effect as it is cheaper ? ## I switched from Yasmin to oralcon. Is it safe to just change or will it effect me hormonally? I've taken a brand new cycle now for my new month and would also like to know if I must consume all of the white tablets then break or consume the red tablets as well? ## No, it works the same and you should not have a problem making a clean switch from one to the other. Shell, the red tablets do not have any active ingredients, they are just reminder pills to try to keep women in the habit for taking a pill every day, so you can skip them, if you wish, it would be just like having a break week where you don't...

Hi. I'm an Oralcon user and just wanna understand, I've taken five red pills but nothing is happening. I just want to know if I might be pregnant or what? I had period pains when I took the first one. ## Hi Laura, When it comes to any form of hormonal contraceptive, it's important to understand that they can all cause irregular or missed periods as a common side effect. This is just the nature of what happens when your hormones fluctuate. It seems that this side effect concerns many users here on the site, as I see it posted fairly often - but in reality there's nothing to be overly concerned about when "nothing happens". Most labels for these types of medications suggest that if the tablets have been taken as directed, this will almost certainly not mean that th...

Hi, i stopped using the oralcon on the 8th of October 2019. I was bleeding for 5 days there after. In November i had my period for two days and in December i had it for 3 days. All three months i was bleeding very little not even to fill a pad but when i urinate and wipe myself there will be a lot of blood on the tissue. In Dec i had my period for three days on the 16th until the 18th and on the 21st of December i had a little blood and discharge on my underwear. Can i be pregnant ## If you have had periods, it is not likely that you are pregnant. Since Oralcon is a hormonal contraceptive, stopping it can cause your body's hormone levels to be off balance, for awhile, which may result in irregular periods, and changed levels of bleeding. It can take a few months for your body to reg...

It is thick and and very dark and only lasts for three day. ## Hello, Gugu! How are you? Hey ive recently started using this contraception just as my period ended, im on the last two pill and I had intercourse; can I get pregnant ## Hello, Judine! How are you? Regardless of when you started it, if you'd taken 7 active pills in a row, without missing any, then you were protected. So, if you didn't have intercourse until almost the end of the pack, you should be fine. Is there anything else I can help with?

If you take oralcon while you are pregnant, can it lead you to losing a baby? For example, let's say you didn't know that you are pregnant. ## Hello Amanda, According to the FDA there is not strong evidence to suggest that taking any type of contraceptive will negatively impact your child. Unfortunately this isn't actually as promising as it sounds, the reason that there is not strong evidence is that there are not enough clinical studies done on pregnant women as it would be an unethical practice to test on actual mothers and babies. What is noted is that there is absolutely a chance of a miscarriage if you took a large enough dose of oralcon, but this dosage would be much greater than your normal once a day dosage. So if you have been taking them as instructed then you may...

If you've missed pills, been active, and were on an antibiotic, then your chances of getting pregnant were definitely increased. You should consult your doctor to have a test done and to discuss your future birth control options. Im using oralcon contraceptive pills. im gaining weight... what can help me not to gain? ## Hi, Boikhutso! Sorry about the problem that you're having. However, there really isn't going to be much you can do about the weight change, as long as you're taking the Oralcon. It contains a synthetic estrogen and those very commonly cause women to gain weight. If you feel that you're gaining to much on this one, you may wish to talk to your doctor about trying a different one. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Even if you join gym. You cant get back to your weight before taking the pills. ## hi I slept with my boyfriend without a condom and was on my period so after 2 days of sleeping with him I started using oralcon. ..will they be affective or I am just waisting my ti...

I'm on my 3rd pack of the Oralcon pills now, and i never had any periods since my 2nd pack, even when I'm on the red pills. I'm worried now, i want my periods back.
