I am 61 Years old, i got operated lymphnode. After biopsy it says Tuburcolus Lyphedentis. Doctor Subscribed me AKT4 one sascet daily for six months. Do i need to do any test before starting the medicine. LFT has not done. ## AKT-4 kit is an anti-tuberculosis drug containing: 1 (tab) ethambutol 800 mg + isoniazid 300 mg + 2 (tabs) pyrazinamide 750 mg + 1 (cap) rifampicin 450 mg. This is so you can take them altogether, rather than getting a prescription filled for 4 separate drugs. 4 Year backs , i feel several nos of small small stone appearing in my neck & some other part of my body also, then I contact to phsician, after several dignostic verification ,He declared, It is a gland TB, & written some tablet & capsule which I consume up to two month only , Now I feel same thing appearing in my neck & other part of body , I contact to physician on teliphone & discussed about that, He suggest me that You continue AKT4, can you suggest me that , AKT4 is suitable for this problem & what is the side effect of the drugs on our body, wiating to quick responce

sir/madam, my mom is 42years old.she has been admitted in hospital for abdominal pain,continuous chill fever and sudden weight loss of about 12kg within 1month.on taking x-ray and ultrasound scan they found 800ml of plueral fluid has been formed.then they removed it and before 2weeks my mom get discharged from hospital and doctor advised her to take akt4 tablets in night and omnacortil,pan40 tablets.doctor told it seems like tb.and he also told that in plueral fluid test,RA factor is 40.what it means?now my mom is having knee pain while walking in steps after taking this tablets.is the treatment is right and when she"ll become cured?pls reply..

I AM 46 AGED MAN AND UNDER AKT4 MEDCATION FOR LAST 15 DAYS, EVERYTHING WAS FINE IN THE BEGINING BUT NOW I HAVE NOTICED RASHES ON MY FACE, ARMS, FOREARMS, THIGHS WHICH IS ITCHY TOO-SPECIALLY IN THE NIGHT BEFORE BED TIME. i m 32 diabetic since 3 n half yrs..b43 months diognised with TB PCR n was on treatment of AKT4 for 3 months but after 2 months i got severe pain in upper abdomen stomuch n in bladder also..then i stopped this treatment bcoz i had side effects like severe mouth ulcers, bleeding piles bcoz of some injections or tablets..due to this i stopped all medications now i want to know can i continue AKT4 after 50 days gap or do i need to restart again?

Hi, My mother was suffering from Abdomen TB. She got operated 5 months back. After operation, she was given AKT4 tablet for 4 months and then shifted on AKT3 & Neurobion tablets. But now she is facing problem of continuous acidity and vomitting feel. What could be the reason that after reducing one tablet also acidity increasing? i have completed AKT4 course for 6 months but during this period an another Tumour shown on the right side between my neck and coller bone.As before Dr. advised me for Biopsy. I am afraid what it is is? Is it curable ? I am 64 yrs. old and under treatment for Bone TB in Backbone R2, 3, and 4. I took AKT4 for six months and now taking R-Cinex 600 since 45 days,by mistake doctor told me to take 3 tablets daily. For two days I was feeling hungup type on head so took 2 tablets for 2 days. But left leg pain and ankle pain started. Now Doctor is saying to take 1 tab. Pls. My Aunt has been diagonosed with possible tuberclosis of the rib bone which was recently surgically removed. However, PCR for tuberclosis performed on blood sample a month back was negative. Now without confirming for sure the doctor has prescribed ATK4 as the report says that it is possibly tuberclosis. Considering that she is actually not suffering from tuberclosis then if she takes doses of atk4 what will be its possible side effects on her? ## I have tuberculosis in my backbone (spine) and inside my neck from last 1 year. My mother is suffering with TB and has been taking AKT4 for the past week. However, she feels very dizzy and sleepy. Are these side effects or could it be from any unknown cause? Please give me advice anyone. ## Those can be side effects of this medication, according to NIH reports, she may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain, flatulence, and diarrhea. How is she doing, now? Has there been any change? Is she on any other medications?

My mother is 66 year old and she was using AKT4 & AKT3 tablets for about 10 months.Due to this her eye sight has become poor. Doctor has advised to stop AKT3 since the course is completed. Now since she is not taking AKT3 tablet can the eye vision will come back to its origninality?? ## Hello, Suresh! How is your mother doing? Unfortunately, I really can't answer that question. It's going to depend on what caused the vision problem and what type of vision problem it is. Has she consulted an eye doctor? That would be the best way to have the problem properly evaluated.

Are these side effects of this medicine ## AKT-4 is msot commonly used to treat Tuberculosis. It contains Ethambutol, Isoniazid, Pyrazinamide and Rifampin. There is nothing listed about any of them causing Hypotension, however, they have been known to have an effect on teh central nervous system, in some cases, so there is a remote possibility.
