I live in Sioux Falls SD and I am trying to find a doctor that will prescribe pain meds. I had a pain management doctor that prescribed 4 10 mg hydrocodones a day, but moved to Nevada. Now I have moved back and she is full and can’t see me. I have arthritis, spinal stenosis, fibromyalgia, degenerative disc disorder and a spinal fusion. My doctor keeps sending me in for epidurals for my lower back, and they sometimes work for two or three months, but it doesn’t help with the pain every where else. I work 10 hour days and barely make it through. Thinking about filling for disability, but I know it’s a long road. ## Very few, if any, people will recommend pain Doctors because that will normally cause too many people to come to them. The Doctor may think that they have bee...

Need one in Pittsburgh, PA for bad back. ## Hi Eleanor, I may not have a doctor I can refer you to, but I can provide you with a couple links that may be of service to you in so far as locating pain management doctors within your general area. All you have to do is input your city or zip code for narrowed results: {link removed because site no longer exists} You can give this other page a try too if you come up with different results for some reason or another: wellness.com/find/pain%20management%20specialist Many of the results you find (in one or both of the links above) also list a phone number for that specific doctor; I'd consider calling up a number of them to see if they are accepting new patients; some aren't, but most usually are. Need doctor to prescribe fentanyl patch cause it works so good.need doctor in Somerset,Kentucky area. ## Hello, Dasie! How are you? If you require such a medication on a long-term ongoing basis, you'll need to see a pain management specialist, due to the new regulations that were put in place last year. However, there is no way to know whether or not a doctor will prescribe it for you, or any other medication for that matter. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Do you currently have a PCP that could refer you to someone? That might be the quickest and easiest way to find the help you need. Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area?

I have had 4 back surgeries, 1 neck surgery, 1 rt knee surgery, and 1 rt shoulder surgery. I've been on many pain meds but now what works for me is 10/325 norco. I dont want anything stronger. I'm sure im addicted but cant function; without them i need that little relief to maintain my sanity. I have been labeled a druggie. I am seeking a doctor, for one that will listen and not just try to rush through the visit. I have severe problems with my lumbar3, 4 and 5. Also have Fybromyalga and migraines. Because of the pain I am also severely depressed. It's been about 17 years that I have not had one day without pain. One of my biggest fears is having the doctor think I'm out just to seek the drugs. That is not the case. I'm currently taking Norco, Vicodin and Cymbalta 30MG but it's like getting my doctor to pull a tooth. My main thing is she won't listen. She is only in the office on Fridays and the PA will not refill my medications. ## Hello, Unfortunately, no one can really know ahead of time what a doctor is or is not willing to prescribe, as that is based on the doctor's discretion ...

Need an pain clinic too treat my pain i have had 2 knee surgerys and taken 2-3 Norco 10 is not treating my pain i also have back pain ## Try TVPC/Spine and Neuro Center in Huntsville. Dr Morris Scherlis is my anesthesiologist and he is great. My only issue with them really is that for office visits I have to see one of his two staff members and the guy(Greg) is kind of an ass. Sorta condescending and suspicious of patients it seems. Also, I have a few other issues besides my back/sciatic pain and I was on several different meds for it including Ativan for anxiety/stress and ambien for sleeping problems due to my pain...I've weaned myself off both of them in the past year and done the same with my muscle relaxers. I was so sick of taking so much medication I just had to do something....

Specifically looking for a doctor who not only would take my insurance, but who is also prescribed me my dilaudid IV medicine that I can take home from the pharmacy.any kind of help would be much appreciated. I had back surgery in November 2014, and have chronic pain. I am in Syracuse NY, and I can't find any doctor that will prescribe opiates because they see I have gone the route of doctor. I need one that gives opiates no matter what my past says.

I live in Jasper, Alabama and have been on methadone for 15 years. It's the only thing that's helped during my chemo or when my ruptured disc are bothering me. The doctor I had just up and left and left all his patients hunting a new doctor. Does anyone know a doctor in or around Jasper or Birmingham that I can see that writes Methadone? ## Really, your best bet is to see a new doctor and make sure they get your medical records, so they can speak for themselves. Asking a doctor to prescribe a specific medication is often seen as being drug seeking behavior. Does anyone else have any suggestions to offer? ## Yeah, I'd definitely move from the deep South as fast as possible. Looking for a doctor who prescribes methadone for pain in massachusetts ## Hello, Eric! How are you? I'm sorry, but there is no listing of doctors according to what they will or will not prescribe that I can refer to for you. If you require such a medication on a long-term, ongoing basis for chronic pain, you'll have to see a pain management specialist, since a PCP will no longer be able to prescribe it for you. And the only thing you can really do is set up an appointment with a specialist, make sure they receive a full copy of your current medical records, then keep the appointment so you can discuss what they will or will not do to help you. If you aren't happy with them, you'll have to try someone else. However, you can't ask about any specific medication, when y...
