How long does it take 1mg xanax to enter your system? ## Quickly, 20 minutes or so! ## From what I could gather, Eddy's estimate was right on spot! It usually takes about 15 to 30 minutes max to start feeling the effects of Xanax. However, timing can also depend on the dose, your tolerance, and how much food you might have in your stomach at the time. Other benzotype medications such as Klonopin are long acting and can sometimes take up to an hour to notice relief. But if you're taking a lower dose of Xanax (immediate release) with no tolerance, I'd imagine that you'd notice it working within the first 15 minutes or so. been on xanax for 9 years for grave's disease. All of a sudden my doctor refuses to write this drug anymore. If your doc said no, then no. They do U/A's and they specifically check for benzos. They can kick you out of treatment. If you are in treatment and are serious about getting better, don't risk it. I'm doing so well on Suboxone and won't risk anything. I flushed a bottle of Percs, Tramadol, and 200 Xanax. I'm glad. If go to suboxone and am on legal script of xanax can I take both ## It is going to depend on what agreement your Suboxone doctor requires from you. Some of them make you sign an agreement to not take any medications from any other doctor, some restrict it to controlled substances and some aren't worried about it, at all, as long as they are legally prescribed, but it can vary from doctor to doctor. Im looking for a Dr. or psychiatrist that will prescribe me xanax. My Dr. recently retired and I've been getting 120 2mg bars every month for years and als. I have been taking 60mg of Morphine daily for a year. This past week I took 3-4 8mg Dilaudids daily. Last night I went back to 60 mg Morphine. I just had a bad withdrawal from green 2mg bars. I have taken anti-anxiiety meds for years, mainly xanax. I will not take them again!
