I've taken nine 500mg tablets of Alphamox (3 times a day for 3 days). I would like to know how long it will take for it to completely leave my system now that I have stopped taking it? This is because I need to take a new medication but can't until Alphamox is out of my system as it won't work with the Alphamox. (The new medication is Fluconazole 150mg). ## Hi Jenna, according to this site's half life calculator a dose of Amoxicillin would be metabolized in about 17 hours. Keep in mind that this is just an estimate and does not factor in that you have taken multiple doses. I'd give it a full 24 hours to be safe, and I would also double check with the pharmacist since they could inform you of possible interactions after that period of time. Also, antibiotics can conti...

How long after taking dilaudid is it safe to drive? I got a shot a the emergency room and I took one dilaudid by mouth at 420pm.when is it safe to drive my car? ## Hello, Tabitha! How are you? Much of it really depends on you and how the Dilaudid affects you, if it makes you drowsy or dizzy and you still feel that way, then it's not safe for you to drive. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Learn more Dilaudid details here. You really haven't taken much of it to know how it will affect you…could you maybe have someone else do the driving?

Woke up on Thursday and within about 1 hour I started having a significant amount of blood in my urine. I immediately made an appointment with a clinic close by. The Dr. diagnosed me and agreed that it was a UTI. He then prescribed medication (2 a day for 3 days).... Along with AZO for pain 3 times a day. Thursday afternoon I was comfortable but now I am VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. I HAD TROUBLE SLEEPING LAST NIGHT BUT WAS NOT IN PAIN. What would you suggest? I have taken 3 of the 6 pills prescribed. Also urinating more frequently. Could you pls let me know something? I had a severe UTI 2 1/3 - 3 months ago and did not have this problem. ## Hello, Dotty! How are you? The general rule with antibiotics is that if they are working, you shouldn't see any worsening of your condition, after being...

I was prescribed codeine by the doctor and was taking it 4 times a day. It made me feel so sick. I couldn't eat without throwing it up and It made me so drowsy and i got headaches and constipated. So now the doctor has told me to stop taking them. My last dosage was at 13:00 today. how long until it leaves the system and I feel less sick from it? ## Sorry about the side effect issues you've had. Codeine and I have never gotten along either, so I understand. Codeine has a pretty short half-life, but it's really going to depend on how long you were taking it and you didn't mention that, but I'd say it should start to improve in about 24 hours, or so. If you're still experiencing issues after that, be sure to call your doctor for a follow up. You can learn more Code...

After taking this med for about two months I've been feeling like someone wants to rip my skin off and ect I stopped taking this asap and am in desperate need of knowing how long is it before it wears completely out my system. ## Quetiapine is eliminated with a mean terminal half-life of approximately 6-7 hours. This means that every 6 hours, half of the previous amount of Quetiapine in the body disappears. For example, if you took 10mg of Quetiapine at 12AM (midnight), at 6AM 5mg of Quetiapine will be left in your body. At 12PM (noon), 2.5mg will be left, and so forth until there is 0mg left in your body. With that said, it should be completely out of your system in roughly 2 days time. I hope this helps! ## Thank you for your edvice it is really appreciated. The dose I was taking ...

hello, i am on 100mcg's of clonidine twice a day (morning and night) for anxiety and have been having a really hard time with the induced drowsiness. i was wondering if anyone else experienced this and how long it takes your body to get used to it to the point that i'm not falling asleep in the middle of the day. thank you ## How long have you been taking it? According to the FDA side effects are usually transient and tend to go away after about 4 to 5 weeks, once your body gets used to the medication. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, and sedation. Are you on any other medications? How are you feeling, now? Has there been any change?

Put on statins in 2009 (first Zocor, then Lipitor). In June 2012 had severe episode of heart palpitations and chest tightness (ended up in ER). Had EKG, chest x-ray, blood tests -- all normal. But chest tightness, lightheadedness and fatigue symptoms continued for days. After cardiologist visit (including stress test) found no problems with heart, returned to regular doctor for more blood work. Found nothing... Then based on my own online research I found my symptoms matched up with Lipitor side effects. Stopped Lipitor first week of July... chest tightness and fatigue symptoms are now gone but lightheadedness continues. After more online research, I have begun taking CoQ10 and Milk Thistle this week. No improvement yet. Anyone with similar experiences? How long does it take for the bod...

I am 18 years old, I have been getting daily headaches for about two years. I went to my Neurologist about three months ago and he prescribed me Topamax. I have been taking it for these three months (approximately), starting out at 25mg a day, and now I am up to 100mg a day. Well, this past week has been really hectic for me. I have been watching five kids and a few family issues have come up, so in short; on Tuesday night I forgot to take my night time dosage (75mg) of my meds. Wednesday morning I was feeling weird. At first I didn't understand why I felt so weird, but I felt awful. Midway through the day my boyfriend had asked me if I took my meds, so in a panic I remembered that I hadn't taken not only the night before but that mornings either. Knowing that it pretty much wor...

How long until pirimir starts to have an effect after taking pill by mouth? ## Probably a half an hour, or so, depending on the person and if they had eaten, before taking it. Its typical side effects are listed by the NIH as possibly including nausea, dizziness, discolored urine, and indigestion. Are you on any other medications?

How long after you stop taking this will you feel better? Having nausea fatigue listlless. Only took it for 2 weeks feel horrible until abou 4:00 PM. Taking 1/3 of a pill 3 times a day with food ## Hello, Lee! How are you? I'm sorry that you had a problem with this medication. If you were only taking it for a short period of time, it should only take a week or so for you to start to feel better and for the side effects to improve. The FDA lists this medication as being most commonly used to treat Parkinson's symptoms and those can be common side effects of it, along with dizziness, trouble sleeping and headache. Have you informed you doctor? You may need to switch to a different medication. ## thanks still having stomach problems and headache, so it can't be from that. also ...

i take lisinipril 10 mg once a day in the evening.....my bp is perfect all day until around 5pm then spikes up so ill take my pill...all evening im waiting for bp to come down usually takes a good 3 hrs to get good again...how can i better take it to avoid these spikes ## Hello, Danette! How are you? How high is it spiking in the evening? And when are the spikes occurring, are they happening after activity, after eating, or just close to the time of your next dose? Your blood pressure should fluctuate throughout the day, in accordance with some of the things I've already asked about, such as activity, eating, next dose being due and those are just some of the reasons listed by the NIH. I am a high blood pressure/cardiology patient myself, and I have learned that there are certain ti...

I took half a subutex at 11am this morning and have to work a 10hr overnight shift. I need to know when I can take my lortab 10s before I feel relief? My neck has been broken twice in the past 4yrs. Once from a major car accident and the 2nd time from a domestic assault where my ex REbroke it. I don't have insurance so I have to buy my meds off the st. And CAN'T afford to waste the few tabs I have. Can someone pls give me an answer? Thanks to whoever can help me ;) ## Hello, I'm sorry to hear about your situation, based on my research it may take 20 - 30 minutes (or longer) for the Lortab to make its way through the blood stream enough for you to start experiencing some relief of pain. Also, keep in mind that using Subutex (Buprenorphine) together with Lortab (Acetaminophen/...

I have been on 3 to 4 norcos per day for about 1.5-2 years. 10/325 mg. I don't take them at work EVER. So at night to relax and on weekends/holidays. I recently ran out and my doc suggested I take subutex if I start feeling crappy until I get more. I wasn't feeling too bad but wanted to try it anyway. He told me to put a whole pill under my tongue. But being cautious, I only put 1/2 pill under my tongue (so 4 mg?). Holy cow. I was SO high, then I have been sleepy for hours. Took a nap and woke up still high. Made dinner and am hoping eating makes it go away. It's not, really. I took the pill at 2pm today. I have work at 8:30 am tomorrow - am I still going to feel like this in the morning?! I'm freaking out and really regretting this. *some side notes about me: I am heavy...

After stoping nur-isterate in March I experience vaginal trush, sometimes sore in my vagina, too much discharge, plss help ## Hello, Nana! How are you? Have you had the yeast infection/vaginal thrush treated? You need an antifungal medication to eradicate it, otherwise it can continue to get worse and that could be what's disrupting your periods, now, as explained by the NIH. Hello. I have been using nustrate from 2011 until November last year when I decided not to go to the clinic for prevention. I didn't get my period until now which is about four months out now and am stressed cuz I want a baby now. Can anyone help me plz? ## Hello, Kabelo! How are you? It can take several months for your body to balance your hormones back out on its own, so you have your periods and ovulate in order to get pregnant. Along with skipping, by stopping you, may experience some other withdrawal effects, as listed by the FDA, which may include nausea, headache and PMS-like symptoms. If you don't experience one soon, you should consult a doctor. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hi. I was taking nustrate for the past six years and I quit it this year just to ge...

How long does it take to ween off Suboxone? I've been taking 8 mgs for about 9 months. ## Hi willy, Usually for drugs like this the safest way to stop taking them is to tapper off them, "if possible". Some medications can be taken in fractions (actually cut into pieces) and these smaller pieces can be taken in place of the regular dose for a period of several weeks until the body is no longer dependent upon them. In my honest opinion though, I think if you took a look at this other thread on Suboxone Abuse, and read post number 42 by James, it would be of great help: You may also want to consider posting in that thread to gain more help and support from these other users with personal experience. I hope this helps! ## Is there a way to be evaluated for Suboxone?

I have been on pills before for like 8 months and my periods were normal and then I switched to Nur-isterate for 8 weeks. Then I stopped taking, I would like to know how long does Nur-isterate take to stay in the system and how soon can I get pregnant? ## How long has your doctor advised you to wait? It can vary from person to person, so there is no definitive answer I can give you. Ref: Noristerat Information Stopping hormonal contraceptives may cause some withdrawal effects, which can include irregular bleeding, periods that are different than normal. and weight changes. In most cases, doctors advise that you wait until your cycles return to normal, before trying to become pregnant, but you should always follow their advice, even if they've advised otherwise.
