Who should use this medicine, dosage and how long? ## Hi Fran, This inhaler is used for the management of reversible bronchospasm associated with obstructive airway diseases (eg, bronchial asthma). It is also prescribed for patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) on a regular inhaled bronchodilator who continue to have evidence of bronchospasm and who require a second bronchodilator. Dosage information and length of treatment is indicated to be provided by your doctor or pharmacist on a case by case basis. NOTE: I was able to locate dosage info for the liquid version of this medication, but I would think liquid has completely different administration instructions than an inhaler. I would like to know if there are any studies done on this drug. ## Unfortunately I was unble to find any drug study on Dura-Vent DA, I did however find the active ingredients which are Chlorpheniramine + Methscopolamine + Phenylephrine. These three drugs combined are used to treat chest congestion, sneezing, runny nose, and itchy, watery eyes due to common colds, or allergies. Do you have any more questions or information to add? I have a 9 month old baby boy who weighs 10.5 kg. He had his first asthma attack since he was on his 6th. Monthly he would had his attacks. His first pediatrician prescribed him 1 nebule Salbutamol (Ventolin) and 1/2 nebule Budesonide (Asmavent) every 4 hours, Prednisone (Prolix) 2.5ml 2x a day, Pocaterol HCl (Meptin) 2.5ml 3x a day and Cefixime (Tergecef) 1.5ml 2x a day. Then I went on a second opinion pediatrician, she prescribed Ceterizine (Allerkid) 1ml before bedtime, Salbutamol-Ipratropium (Duavent) 1 nebule for every 6 hours, Erythromycin (ilosone) 2ml 3x a day and Montelukast (Kastair) 1 tablet before bedtime. I had a neighbor whose her baby is taking Montelukast for almost 2 years now. She said his son had no longer attacks. My question is, is it okay for my baby that I will gi...
