What if any herbal supplements can you take while on certain drugs? ## Vitamin D. I am not a person who ever thought that I would suggest vitamins over medicine. However, I had a friend tell me that Vitamin D really helped her so I tried it. I'm getting my hair back and am losing about 10 pounds a month without doing anything different with my diet. ## well .. if u r on certain drugs, i suggest u take a look at herbal medicines. Herbal remedies do not have ne side effects unless overindulged.

My husband has suffered from prostatitis for 3 years. He used to have a frequent need to urinate. When urinating, there was pain and burning sensation. where can I find Gymnema Sylvestrie by Himalaya Herbs ## Hello, Will! How are you? This is listed as a supplement, by the FDA, it's actually an herb. It's believed, but not proven, to decrease the amount of sugar absorbed from the investing and to increase the amount of insulin in the body. There are warnings listing it's possibly effect on those who are diabetic, it may lower blood sugar too far and shouldn't be taken within 2 weeks of surgery. However, I am not sure where to find this brand. There are many others available, though, including one from Nature's Way and Natrol, both of which are reliable manufacturers. Does anyone know where to find this one?

Is it safe to take o tropin while on lisinopril and simvastatin? ## O-Tropin reportedly contains a blend of natural amino acids and herbs. Although I find it strange that I cannot locate any specific details on what these ingredients are exactly. From my own past experience, most natural supplements tend to fair well when used in conjunction with prescription meds. So in my opinion it should be fine. But, you may have to be your own best judge in this case, since natural supplements are not regulated like prescription drugs; and therefore aren't classified in a way that compares possible interactions with each and every other medication. I am currently taking Xarelto 20mg (for dvt) and know that there aren't many restrictions related to herbs and supplements. I have used evolution leanmode in the past for exercise and weight loss. I checked the ingredients one by one to make sure there aren't any interaction and still am hesitant prior to taking it. I have R.A., my loving mother saw the ad for Arthri-d & bought it for me as a gift. I saw no harm in trying it because I have researched a lot of the herbs such as turmeric, frankincense etc. I have been taking it for 5 days & am having intestinal issues (gas, irritable bowel symptoms, headaches.)
