I have an infection within my upper respiratory system. I dosed Amoxicilin 500mg three times a day and really felt well but not perfect around the seventh day. Four days after the medication ran out the symtems returned. Very sore voice with pain in the hiatal region of my body with a 99 fever. My body temperature is normal at 97.5 or even lower at times. There is a reason that there is an expiration date on them. Not only do they LOSE most, if not all potency, the expired pills could surely affect your liver in a toxic way. I've taken 3 - 17 oz doses of PEG since yesterday. Now I just feel disoriented, nauseaus and light headed. Yet nothing in the elimination category. I have a pill that has 37.5-325 mg on it. So when it says not to exceed more than 300mg are they referring to the 37.5mg side? ## No it's more for the APAP (aka acetaminiphen as taking more than 975mg every 4 hours or so will absolutely rot the crap outta your stomach lining and damage your liver considerably. Try and get it without the APAP, as the real reason they putit in the Tramadol is a) help it's distribution into the bloodstream which is one thing APAP is known for and then to B) To try and keep junkies from wanting to abuse it for the same reason as a) above. My father was a chronic pain patient with a spinal tumor who was moved off of Oxycontin and Dilaudid to methadone. Unfortunately, after a long, log battle, he became completely paralyzed and the tumor was in the process of killing him. He asked to be terminally sedated. The doctors put him on a morphine drip, but even after they quadrupled his dose, he was still in pain and awake. Eventually, they got to 4000mg a DAY of IV morphine, and it was ineffective. We did our research, and it showed there is NO conversion rate for methadone to morphine equivalents as there is with every other opioid. In other words, just to duplicate the 30-40mg a day of morphine he was taking would have required anywhere from 240-3000mgs of morphine - forget actually sedating him. Rescheduling hydrocodone/APAP combos to CII seems to have mixed results. I believe that it was the ignorance of the use of liver damage with exceeding 4,000.mg of acetaminophen and not necessarily the abuse opioid factors. What is the limit for a single dose for a 170 lb person? I hear this drug can be dangerous and I want to make sure my son is taking it correctly for his surgery recovery. ## The hydrocodone will not harm him even if he took 8 per day but the acetaminophen cannot be more than 4000 mg a day. I've been approximately 10 years on hydrocodone acetaminophen 10-500. It now has been changed to Hydrocodone-acetaminophen 10-325 without any consultation. What would be the reason for the change and will it attack the pain the same? Thank you. The FDA has even taken action to withdraw the approval for prescription meds that have more than 325 mg tylenol. The decrease in tylenol may or may not make any difference to you.
