What is the best medication for fibromylgia and how often should it be taken? ## There is no medication that is considered the best. Their effects can vary widely from person to person. What has your doctor suggested you use? ## the only cure for fibromyalgia is a psychiatrist. ## This is very insulting and obviously a very uninformed individual. Fibromyalgia is very real and while I have been unsuccessful in finding anything that helps the pain or fatigue I don't see how a psychiatrist is a cure. Unless u have had to deal with this horrible condition please do not chime in with yo...

I have been on lipitor for about 5-6 months and wonder if that might be why? I do have fibromylgia so hurt most of the time but this is different. I am thinking about stopping for awhiel to see if it helps. ## Hello, Interestingly enough, joint pain, as well as muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness, are all side effects of Lipitor. So I think you are right in assuming that lipitor was delaying your healing time and causing continued pain. Side effects referenced from: ...

They've also been known to cause fluid retention and elevated blood pressure with long-term use. Do you see your doctor regularly? Do they do blood tests, such as a liver panel? ## I had taken meloxicam for about a year and wow i sure got relief of my osteoarthritis (severe all joints affected), also diagnosed with fibromylgia, I began to have stomach burning ...then ulcer..then bleeding ulcer and the lining to my stomach is in bad shape. I had also been taking protonix and carafate all while on m...
