What if any side affects does ferro-tab 200 mg have. thankyou ## From what I could gather, Ferro-tab is an iron supplement for those who may be low in iron or anemic. The only side effects I've found on this supplement is that it may cause nausea, stomach upset, dark stools, and possibly constipation. Wondering if anyone else experiences extreme symptoms when taking this. Within 35 minutes of taking, I start feeling as if poisoned. Stomach pain, nausea, shaking & cold sweats. I've been prescribed Se-Tan PLUS after having surgery for colon cancer. This is in capsule form. Upon renewal, "Ferrous Fumarate" 324 mg. tablets were substituted. Is there equivalency between these two prescriptions? Thanks ## They are both the same, the new one you've received is just a generic for Se-Tan. Hi, I'm 17 years old and I'm taking 1 tablet of Ferrous Sulfate once a day. But I'm also taking 1 1/2 tablets of Predisone twice a day and along with multiple other dosages of other medicines. Could this be the reason for the churning sick feeling in my stomach? ## I think it largely depends on what all the other medications are that you might be taking with it. Just about all prescription drugs can cause these types of side effects. Based on my research, Ferrous Sulfate does list "constipation" and "stomach upset" as side effects. It also mentions that you should tell your doctor if either of these symptoms are severe or do not go away. I take 30 mg of Prevacid , 10 mg Lipitor , 10 mg Cipralex at bed time. Supper time I take Ferrous Gluconate 300 mg.
