nt 16 ## This is not Fentanyl. It is 600mg Gabapentin, or name brand Neurontin. It is used for various types of seizure disorders, convulsions and nerve pain. Side effects include nausea, headache, drowsiness, among others. ## As I recall, this isn't even available in regular pill form, they have the lozenges, and the patches, and that is all that is available anymore that I can find listed. ## That's exactly right, except for the IV doses available in the hospital, nothing else exists. ## That is what I thought, I even did a search and double checked. As I recall they had trouble getting the dosage set properly and stabilized, so they were unable to make it into tablets. She had this from Feb. 2009 till August 2009. I missed my apt. For refil on my oxy30 because I had flu. Must use what I have to get through until Tuesday when my next apt is. I have fentaynol 100 patches. What is the dosage of fentanol to make up for lack of oxy? Have been on oxy and fentaynol for years. ## Tired If you've been on both the fentanyl and oxycodone concurrently you should be just fine using the fentanyl alone as the doc prescribed it since the oxys are primarily for bt pain. It usually takes about 3 days, before other opiates will become effective for you, again. The FDA classifies Fentanyl as a narcotic analgesic, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation and dry mouth. I asked my Dr to take me off fentanol and increase my dose to 30mg oxycodone he has taken me off patch left break thru as is its not helping anymore not a strong enough dose anymore I don't know what else to say to him without sounding like I just want more pills. Hi, I'm trying to find a good pain Dr. In Louisville, Ky. For my 82 yr. Old Mother who has been on Loratab and Xanax for over 30 yrs. For 30 yrs. Her pain Dr. And Meds. We're paid for by Workman's Comp. Long story short, her WC. Decided that they were no longer paying for pain Dr. And Meds. So Dr. Said She was drinking Alcohol so that he could release her as a patient. She NEVER drank!! Anyway, now stuck trying desperately to find a pain Dr. That will at least prescribe Loratabs for her. ( Her previous dr. Also prescribed her Fentanol or Duragesic patches 100mcg.) She just needs the Hydrocodine. Please Help! She is old and in Terrible pain!
