Since starting Fenofibrate 160mg I've been having headaches daily... Sometimes my muscle in my ankle hurts as well. It's a pain I never had before. I'm only 34 years old so I think I'm going just stop taking them and just watch what i eat and workout. ## This medication is well known to cause such side effects, according to FDA reports. My husband got prescribed the medication - LIPIDIL (Fenofibrate) 145mg x 1 tablet daily, another medication is - SIMVAR (Simvastatin) 40mg x 1 tablet daily, mainly to lower his cholesterol level and triglycerides in the blood. I have been taking fenofibrate 160mg for almost a year now and I have severe abdominal pain so bad I had to be submitted into the ER and they couldn`t find anything wrong with me. So now I am going to stop taking and don`t care what my doctor says, if the pain goes away I will notify the FDA about this. Very fatigued, ABD pain and nausea. MD did blood work to check liver enzymes, BMP, Amylase, Lipase. Ultra sound completed today of gallbladder, pancreas, liver. Was only on fenofibrate for 20 days 145mg. Could not take lipitor for severe muscle cramps. However lipitor was out well the muscle pains ended 36 hours after taking the med. I don't feel better yet after D/Cing the fenofibrate for 4 days. Results not back with the test, will know if any damage to my gallbladder in 2 days. ## Fenofibrate is no longer being taken and the fatigue, abdominal pain, sneezing and nausea continue after 5 days not ingesting this medication. I was prescribed this medicine on May 25 started taking it and noticed severe muscle pain in legs and hips and very tired I asked a pharmacist and he said stop taking it so I weened my self off by June 13 and the muscle pain and fatigue is still with me. Some people do manage to lower their cholesterol levels successfully and keep them low, via healthy diet and exercise, so they are then able to stop such medications. It can vary from person to person and may include such factors as how high their cholesterol has gone. I have been on Trilipix for a month now. My first 2 weeks were hard on my body, and had to get use to the meds. I was dizzy a little, had light cramps but that is all gone now. Going to go for blood work soon, if my levels are down I'm going to ask my doctor to take me off so I can try on my own to keep Trigits down. I started taking Fenofibrate 17 days ago. Every since then I have been in bed weak, nauseous, shaking, sudden onset of hot flashes, stomach and rib cramps and sweating something fierce! I thought I had the flu but never ran a temp and it just doesn't feel like the flu. Today I have been SO weak and it is scaring me. I am almost positive it is the Fenofibrate! My body feels on the inside like you feel when you have pushed yourself during exercise or running. Tingly and shaky. My blood oxygen levels are at 99% though. I am not taking this stuff any more! I had a stroke 5 months back, paralyzing my right side. I am now taking Storvas 20mg and undergoing regular physiotherapy. However, now I have shoulder pain, I cant lift up my right arm because of pain in my muscle and the accompanying joint pain. My doctor says I have to take this medication for the rest of my life. i am taking rosuvas f10 for last 2 years, my ldl level is not comming down fron 140, now i hav been prescribed rosuvas f 20, will it help ## The Rosuavas-F 20 is a higher dose, so yes, there's a chance that it may help to lower it. This medication contain Rosuvastatin and Fenofibrate, the side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache and joint/muscle aches. However, you really shouldn't wait another 2 years to see if it's working, you should have it checked again much sooner than that, such as in another few months. are there any negative effects of wechol ## is there sideafects with welchol 3.75g i am taking nexium xanax and cozar ## I take 6 Welchol daily and have terrible belching and fullness in the stomach. I also take zetia and diltiaz and metoprolol for high cholesterol. Total chol count is 221,HDL38,LDL121 and Tri 211. Had triple bypass in 2008. I am allergic to all statin drugs.
