Exalgo 16mg
10 Topics FoundI have been on this new EXPENSIVE drug EXALGO 16mg, The doctor's around here do not want to prescribe what I can take ( I am allergic to so much) and this stuff makes me sick and I break out in Hives worse then any other medication I have been on! Not only did my insurance have to make a fuss over covering this $750.00 medication for 30 a month but now that they are it is not helping me as well as my Nucynta's did and he wont put me back on them or NO DOCTOR in my area will give me the Rodxycodone due to the addicts, I don't want to be on a Schedule 2 drug but they claim I am seeking if I want something no as strong. What is wrong with these physicians these days, the ones that are not addcits can't get squat but send a addcit into the office and they come out with 2 or ...
For the past year I have been taking Exalgo 16mg 5 pills in the morning with 8mg of Dilaudid for b/t pain. I had a severe back injury 4 yrs. ago. In the past I have taken Oxyicontin w/roxy & Mophine Sulfate w/a low dose morphine for b/t . Each pair for a little over a year. The Oxycontin was the best for my pain, I was able to function better. I transformed from an ambitious friendly person to a fowl mouthed demon. Awful!! Morphine after 1 1/2 years and losing five teeth, I was sure I had Alzheimers. I had no recall, couldn't remember names or how to do things. Now on Exalgo w/Dilaudid for b/t. It does not give me great pain relief but mentally I am close to normal, except for the depression, I cannot shake, for 3 years now. Please I need help with getting a new prescription. I ...
Trying to find a picture of what the generic form of Exalgo 16mg tablets look like. ## Hello, Rose! How are you? What are the markings on the tablet in question? There is a 16mg extended release Hydromorphone tablet that is white, round and has the marking WPI 3630 on it and that is the only generic that I've found in this dosage, so far. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## That is what I thought. Last month my pharmacist gave me my Rx of Exalgo half of the pills were the yellowish color with Exh and 16 on the tablet and some said the W with 3630 if I recall. When I asked for the generic again to save $$'s he said they only get the generic in no...
What is the conversion of opana er to exalgo er? I used to take 20mg opana er 3 times a day and was switched to 16mg exalgo er once a day, but it doesn't seem to treat the pain as well or as steady as the opana. ## According to NIH conversions, it would require 15mgs of Exalgo to be equivalent to each 20mgs of Opana that you were taking, so no your dosage is not high enough to equal your prior medication. Are you on any other medications? Have you informed your medical provider? The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth.
I have been taking 16mg of Exalgo 3times daily with 3 doses of 8mg Dilaudid for break threw pain. What is a safe low amount to start of the Oxycontin. My doctor gave me 3 60mg a day and I am concerned about starting a 60mg right away. ## Hello, Dreamer! How are you? That dose of Oxycontin is slightly higher than the dose you were taking of the Exalgo. Each 16mgs of it is equal to 42.67mgs of the Oxycontin. However, you can't cut the Oxycontin to lower the dose, but you may want to ask your doctor about starting with 2 a day to see how that works for you. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help...
Hello, I was doing wonderfully with my myriad chronic neck and back pain on 16mg Exalgo (generic is hydromorphone extended release) for 3 years with the same doctor, no other pain medication, simply ONE pill/day and never built up a tolerance! I'm certain I don't have to say how very rare THAT was, because it was for ME, as well. After being treated with many potent pain medications that would just quit working after a few weeks, going through endless rounds of useless inj's., one doctor started forcing me to get them done 3 times a week, thereafter I discovered most of the inj's. aren't supposed to be performed more than every three months at the MOST! Due to all the new laws, and also because he is extremely greedy; the doctor who formerly prescribed the Exalgo for...
I was just changed from the best pain meds I have found in 12 years of chronic pain (Exalgo ER 16mg + 4mg x 4 for breakthrough) because of a Medicare deal. Now I'm dealing with Opana ER 30mg twice daily and 10mg hydromorphone. So far the itching hasn't killed me, but I am reminded of why we switched in the first place. On the other hand, the strength seems more... I haven't been able to fill Opana ER (from Thurs to Tues is a long haul especially if I didn't have a spouse who hide meds when I need them to...) My math sucks. Not as much as withdrawal or OD though. What's the conversion? Happy Florist's Day! My first day here, glad I found you. ## Yes, you are on a slightly higher dosage, now. Thats why it feels like the strength is more. This is a narcotic analgesi...
i found out the medication that was approved by the fda for pain exalgo is what it is i'm trying to find the forum where i brought it up. it is a 24 hr dose. erwin was the one reply a few days ago and he could only find subuxone for 24 hr. i am trying to get that thread to see if there are any replys hope so ## I was put on exaglo 16mg the other day to try for chronic pain. I found that it gave me server headaches and very sick to my stomach . When the doctor gave me it she gave me 1/3 the dose that i needed she said. I take 7 - 30s roxys a day. If it wasn't for wanting to cut my head off it would have been nice to only take 1pill a day. So anyone that would like to try this pill good luck with the headache and upset stomach .
I have been in Pain Management for 15 years. I have the usual round of diagnoses. Herniated discs at cervical, thoracic and lumber spine. Bone spurs through out. I have spinal cord compression in my neck. Pain. I just switched from 16mg of Exalgo (Dilaudid ER) with Fentanyl ir for breakthrough- back to 100mcg Fentanyl patches with 15mg Morphine 3x a day for breakthrough. I feel like a trapped rat. To the outside world I'm a professional woman, mother of 3 grown children. I'm no different from any other junkie though. I wanted to go into suboxone assisted substance abuse treatment. Then I found out that, for quite a while, you have to be at the program every day to pick up meds (and go to therapy/group). I'd lose my job! I can walk into Pain Management, ask for Suboxone and l...
