Does savella contain salicylates. What about ibuprofen, flexeril, and hyoscyamine sulfate? My wife has a problem with salicylates. ## Unfortunately I can't look up each medication by name to find this out, but what I can provide is information regarding what products or foods generally contain salicylates, and based on this list you can single things out that may or may not be a problem. If you take a look at the link below and scroll down a bit, you'll find a list of "Brand Names of Common Drugs containing Salicylate" that was put together by the Mayo Clinic: While it's not a complete list, it does recommend that if you are taking a medication and are not sure if it contains salicylate, to check with your pharmacist or doctor. I could also look up each drug you have...

Why can't I find an ACTUAL list of ingredients in DBX 13? I'm interested in this product but I don't understand why I can't find a list of the ingredients. ## Hello, Susan! How are you? Many people have been asking about this, H86 and others ever since that email newsletter has been going out, but there is nothing to be found! I'm sorry, I know many people's hopes were falsely raised, so I know what I'm saying is very disappointing. But I have searched extensively and repeatedly in many different resources, both paid and free, that cover everything from experimental drugs to natural supplements and have been unable to find a single mention of these, whatsoever. Does anyone else know more? ## Always be leary of a product named by Alpha and Numerical characters...

I would like to know the ingredients in Triam-HCTZ. ## I need the reaction of each one of these medicine. Triam/HCTZ Zelnorm Hydroco/APAP Estradiol Metformin 500mg Fluoxetine 20mg Pot Chloride 20meq Vytorin Ozaprozin 600mg ## To answer the original question, the combination of active ingredients which you are referring to is Triamterene + Hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ), generic for Dyazide. If anybody is able to answer Myrtis' question, please reply. ## Myrtis, if you look at the top of the page, you will see an alphabet list, each on pulls up a list of prescription drugs that start with that letter. Each of those lists is also sorted alphabetically and you can scroll through for the drug you are looking for and access the information monograph from there. Is this for a school assignment?

Does this medication contain any dairy products? If yes, then why? So many people are intolerant to dairy products and a major sign of opioid withdrawal is stomach upset. This can cause the person that is prescribed the medication to think that they need to take more when it is actually causing them stomach upset, pain, and discomfort. I understand that drug companies are out to make money but allergens should not be added to any medication. If allergens are in food then the label clearly states which allergens are in the food on the package. Why not prescription drugs?

Is it true the government is allowing generic drugs to have less active ingredients? ## Hello, Riza! How are you? This is a common misunderstanding. Under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, generics are allowed to differ from the name brand by as much as plus or minus 20% of the active ingredient. So they could be higher or lower in it, but most manufacturers are very conscientious and come closer to a 1% difference. Is there anything else I can help with?

So yes, it does contain those medications and the FDA lists the most common side effects as being related to its topical use, so they may in...

This past month, Aug.,2011, Insurance refused to pay for my Inderal so I had to take the generic propranolol. After two weeks of dizziness, I looked for the inactive ingredients on the internet and found that propranolol contained sodium lauryl sulfate as an inactive ingredient. No wonder I was dizzy--how can that stuff be allowed in our prescription drugs? It's a detergent and skin irritant. I understand the liver cannot process it. Any comments on this? Thank you for your time Joyce ## The inactive ingredients can differ from manufacturer to manufacturer. Did you look for the ones specific to the manufacturers product that you were taking? In this case, the sodium lauryl sulfate is used as an excipient, which means that it's inactive, but acts as a carrier for the active ingre...

Are there any lactose free cholesterol drugs ## It is very hard to say, since each company that makes them has their own formula of ingredients. ## calcium citrate lactose free ## I am lactose/milk and povidone intolerant. My medications all contain 1 or more of these allergens, Atenolol, Levothyroxine, HCTZ. Taking these with antihistamine (also containing lactose) still triggers migraines daily, for which I take caffeine to counteract. Is there any way I can get allergen free medications. My doctor & pharmacy don't have a clue or don't care to find the answer. I am developing arthritis and dental pain from using these meds. I have been taking Hydrocodone 7.5/325 for couple of years now under the supervision of my pain management doctor for a 4 disc fusion of my neck. Certain manufacturer drugs work better than others. Yours seems to have less affect on my pain. I would like to know the percentage of hydrocodone in your Generic as I have heard the government allows for a variable on this. I also have tried Watson pill 3203, white oblong. Don't know the manufacturer on my first script but the pill was white oblong bigger than yours or Watson's. Drugs and their remedies ## (Just an educated guess) The chemical makeup of the drug and its ingredients contribute to how it affects your body. Essentially, one takes a drug to achieve a certain effect or remedy. The problem with many prescription drugs is that the chemical makeup and/or ingredients may conflict with other mechanisms, for lack of a better term and pose unwanted side effects. I would conclude that the molecular structure of the ingredients in the pill can bond with such an illness to fight it off. I am not an MD, so please do not take these statements as one-hundred percent facts, but an educated guess based on my previous studies. I do know however that natural drugs, such as pure essential oils (if you can call these drugs), have a similar chemical makeup to the human...
