Domperidone Side Effect

My mother takes safe-di-col sustain muscle release domperidone capsules as an antibiotic for relief in her musles. She has side effects like acute stomach pain which is why she is unwilling to take the capsules. Is there an alternative. Doctor suggests that she bear the pain for a few days. What will happen if she skips the capsules for a day or two?

I am 60 years old. I was diagnosed with "GERD" 3 years ago for which I was prescribed rabeprazole sodium and domperidone formulation - 1 capsule daily. I have been using the medicine since then without any side effects. Short time discontinuance, 3-4 days, has no adverse effect. However, discontinuance beyond that the diagnosed problems resurface all over again. Is it OK to continue taking this medicine kind of lifelong? My last medical exam about 6 months has been normal. However, you really do need to consult your doctor, because it is going to depend on what's causing the diarrhea.
