Stool Softener, AKA Docusate Sodium, commonly comes in 50mg and 100mg soft gels. I too have OIC (Opioid-Induced Constipation). Docusate Sodium is but one part of my regimen for my personal amount of Opioids. I also take a capful of Miralax almost every day. I also take 4 Docusate Sodium Softgels of 100mg each for a total of 400mgs. I'll take the softgels every other day. Now for a specific answer to your question: 1 soft gel of Docusate Sodium is a stool softener, of course. 2 softgels is a doubling of the stool softener and are simply just more stool softener. Are there any Casanthranol Docusate Sodium products available in the U.S.? ## Unfortunately, I'm not finding the Casanthranol listed as being available, it seems that most products that contained it have changed their formula and now use Bisacodyl. Docusate sodium is available in quite a few products, though. Have you tried asking your pharmacist to help you find an alternative?

I am suffering with sciatica that is either caused by, or made worse by ulcerative colitis causing pain in my left leg. I am often constipated as a result and it makes the pain unberable at times. I know Diclofenac can cause stroke and I was wondering how safe it is to take Colace with it to ease the constipation being that they both contain a type of "sodium" ## Diclofenac is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory. Colace/ Sodium Docusate is a stool softener. ## It isn't that they contain types of sodium, it is just the base ion of the exact salt that the medications are derived from. I believe the marking on the tablet you've found is GPI S1, it is manufactured by Physician's Science and Nature Inc., they list it as containing 100mgs of Docusate, available under the name brand Pramolaxin, it is a stool softener and is available over the counter. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, bloating, abdominal cramping and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help with?

Thank You so much and God Bless You & Yours, Johnny ## Well, there are several on this list that can cause nausea and vomiting, such as the Codeine, Acetaminophen and the Simvastatin. Plus, the more you take, especially all at once, the worse the possible side effects are going to be. Have you tried spacing them out more? Or perhaps asking your doctor for something to help prevent the nausea and vomiting?

They describe the red and white tablet as being a liquid filled capsule, made by Kroger Co. For verification, it also reportedly carries a National Drug Code of 30142-238. Another attribute to take note of is its size. The particular description I found lists the size as being 12 mm. One other thing I want to mention is that I did come across a nearly identical pill that carried an imprint of "SCU1" as opposed to "SCU2", which was also identified as a stool softener.
