Doctors Answer
100+ Topics FoundI'm having a multitude of medical problems and I can't get my doctors to listen to me. They think they have the answers without discussing my symptoms with me or even order testing. How do I get them to listen to me? ## Make an appointment for a full physical with a new doctor, blood tests, etc... ## Hi Brenda, Sorry to hear about your situation. Aside from what post #1 suggested, it sounds to me like your only other option would be to adamantly confront your physician about your concerns during the appointment. If they aren't willing to give you the time of day (not only as a patient, but also a paying customer), then in my opinion it might be best to keep searching until you find someone else with a more open mind. Many of these doctors are probably so immersed within thei...
Does anyone know of Dr who prescribes MS Contin for pain in Louisiana? Close to Slidell, I just moved here from Tx, and have tried one dr and called numerous with no results. I've tried many alternatives with no luck either and info would be helpful! ## Unfortunately, you will not likely have any good results if you are calling doctors, and asking if they prescribe any controlled substance. The person answering the phone at their office has no way of knowing if the person that called is a legitimate patient with a need, or just a drug seeker, so they are usually instructed to just tell you that they don't prescribe them, and get you off the phone. The same happens with most pharmacies if you just call to ask them about filling a prescription for a controlled substance. The only ...

Hi. I have a question about fentanyl. I'm on 25+12mg every 72hr but still in a lot off pain. Now I heard from a friend that oxycodone 80mg is stronger. I'm in the pain clinic and my dr said my insurance (bmc) doesn't cover the oxycodone. Can anyone tell me if I can pay for the meds with cash? ## Hello, Caroux! How are you? No, Fentanyl is the strongest narcotic available, it is even stronger than Oxycodone. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. However, you may need a medication for breakthrough pain, in addition to the patches. Most doctors will prescribe a low dose Oxycodone or something similar. Have you let your doctor know that your current ...

Down below is the contact info for a couple treatment centers that you can contact about being prescribed Methadone- they should be able to answer your questions. I'm not sure if these treatment centers take Monarch insurance but you can still call them up and ask if you'd like- California Treatment Services DBA Recovery Solutions of Santa Ana 2101 East 1st Street- Santa Ana, CA 92705 Phone: (714) 542-3581x107 (extensi...

Thank you, Sharon (425) {edited for privacy} ## Hi Sharon, Sorry to hear about your situation. I know this may be late, but perhaps you may have gotten a quicker response had you mentioned where you were going? - or - what city you were looking to find a methadone doctor in? Without that information no one can even attempt to answer your question despite it's apparent urgency. For future reference, please post back with a bit more detail so I or others may be of better service to you.

I've been on sulfamethoxazole/trimethoprim 800/160mg for a while. I was told it would clear up an infection I have in my gums. I've been on it noticing red spots as if somebody bruised me on my arms and the urinating thing, I noticed a couple people have mentioned that it caused problems urinating very slow and not emptying your bladder. I'm believing from other people's complaints that this company is just not taking it seriously as the same complaints have been arising and the answers they give are brushed off. To me there's too many big pharmaceutical companies and it's all about the Mighty Dollar. That's all they care about. Pharmaceutical companies have killed and injured so many people. If you think about it think about all the people who are employed. ...
Filed under TrimethoprimI been on subutex for past 5yrs for pain management. I'm allergic to the naloxone in the suboxine films. I just moved to Florida from north Carolina and can't find a doctor to prescribe me what I need. If u have any information to help me, please let me know. Thanks! ## Who was your doc I'm in nc and desperately need like you. ## Tjuggz, This forum is not a medical referral nor protocol recommending site. History has proven when these prescribers are disclosed they are inundated with legit and recreational users as well often necessitating said provider to cease operations. Sadly it's the way our medical system has degraded that so many are left untreated but risking the treatment of those with established providers isn't the answer. Have you reached out to your loca...
I have moved from Mass.to Florida(central florida), Problem is in Mass my primary care Dr.prescribed my methadone(60mg daily,10mg tablets)each month, for chronic pain (and I have been on this dose for 9years,and this dose is working...no problems with it)Now I move to Florida(and the rules OF COURSE, are so dam different as far as pain meds go in the state of Florida)So "obviously" my primary in Florida cant write methadone (as I were kind of told by my Pharmicist in Mass)so I had to start on a Pain Clinic (YIPPEE) anyhow,I presented my pain manag. doctor with all my records(from my Doctors in Mass-about my chronic pain) and he seems to "THINK" he is a miracle worker, he wants to do all kinds of diagnostics to see if I do indeed have peripheral neurapothy (which has alway...
I have seen multiple people ask about adderall doctors in Birmingham, AL. On every question about it nobody leaves an answer. It's about doctors that prescribe adderall in Birmingham, AL. As many people that read these you would think someone would know something... but I guess not! #sux #hatebirmingham ## Hello, Liz! How are you? I think the main problem here is that there is no such thing as an Adderall doctor. It can actually be prescribed by any doctor that has a valid license to practice medicine, but since it has the potential to be habit forming, some will not prescribe it. Some doctors may also think someone is drug seeking, if a new patient comes in asking for it specifically. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, insomnia...
I see you didn't get any answers I was just wondering how long you taking linzess and did you get ahead of the parasite issues? I'm having a lot of gastrointestinal issues in the doctors don't seem to care that I didn't have proof that I have parasites. Let me know if you can how things worked out with taking linzess and getting ahead of parasites. ## Hello, Tova! How are you? Since you didn't post this in response to a specific post, I am afraid I have to ask you for clarity. What parasite issues were you referring to? Linzess is most commonly used to chronic constipation and the FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, stomach cramps, and diarrhea. ## Sorry I thought I had posted this specifically to someone who would talked about...
mI want to know how long it works not how long it 6 doctorsan who Decide it effects you ## There is really no way to give a definitive answer, because it is going to depend on the dosage, your tolerance to opiates and your own metabolism. They are usually prescribed to be taken about every 6 hours, as needed. If your current dosage isn't handling your pain for a long enough period of time, then you should consult your doctor for a possible dosage adjustment. What are the instructions on your current prescription?
Need prescription for adderal and psych evaluation ## Ya know. I may answer my own question. As a Canadian, I know Canadian and Hispanic doctors are trained to work in every aspect of medicine. So, they are classified as general practioners, but are able to deliver babies and medicate the elderly. So, stuck in California with a system that funds only narcotic opiates and benzodiazepines for the mentally indigent, I am seeking a Hispanic or Canadian GP for my adderral. Clearly, adderral is amphetamines. F### what you think. The true ADHD, as myself, stutter post ingestion of adds. Anyway, I found a Hispanic GP in Compton. He treats geriatric, pediatric, and delivers babies. I believe I will be successful in continuing my current prescription of 35 years. I will post his information after...
Cannot vet a clesr answer on this blood test. ## Hello, Stephanie! How are you? Creatinine, as explained by the NIH, is a chemical in the blood that is used to check how well your kidneys are functioning. An elevated level can indicate that kidney function is compromised. Most doctors will check to keep an eye on kidney function, if someone is diabetic or taking medications for high blood pressure. Is there anything else I can help with? ## She was on bactrim antibiotic when she had teat done. Could that have raised creatinine? Is 2.89 really high? ## Bactrim did that to me once, too. It tends to cause some dehydration and such. Ideally, they should check again, in about 3 weeks to a month to see if it returns to normal. ## Oh and the values can vary from person to person. It depends on...
what is dalotid? is it a strong narcotic? ## I think you mean "diludid" (I may have misspelled it too) but to answer your question,"YES,THIS IS A VERY STRONG NARCOTIC". Usually the pain Doctors only give them in extreme break through pain. It is stronger then percocet ,low dose oxyIR,& vicodin. Not as strong as the upper doses of OXYCOTIN/40mgs & up. But is a good pain relief med just the same.O,one other thing,it is very inexpensive & has been around for quite some time. ## Yes, it is actually Dilaudid, it contains the active ingredient Hydromorphone and, as was already stated, it is a very potent narcotic. It is available as both a name brand and generic and it may cause side effects, such as: nausea, dizziness, constipation and dry mouth. Learn more: Are th...
I have had a staff infection for quite sometime. It is very pain full. Can you tell me how can I get the Teflaro? The doctors here in Little Rock, Arkansas have never even heard of it? It sounds like it might be the answer to this awful staff infection. Thank You! ## It's a Cephalosporin class antibiotic, which contains the active ingredient Ceftaroline Fosamil. It was just approved last year, so it may not really be widely available, yet. We do have an information monograph here, which you may want to print and show your doctor: It does require a prescription and medical supervision for use.
