12 years ago my church had a ski and snowboard retreat. Traditionally we race together at the last run of the day. By the time i hit the bottom there was a huge pile up and i twisted my board sideways to stop at about 45mph and my torso twisted the opposite way. Since then a have not been able sit, sleep, or walk comfortably. I have no history of drug abuse but the doctors felt it was time to try alternatives such as Naproxen and really big 800mg Ibprofen. My life was much easier when a I able to responsibly manage my more "illicit" pain medication ## What type of doctors are you seeing, are they general practitioners, surgeons or pain management specialists? If they are general practitioners and/or surgeons, then they really don't have a choice by to try to transition you a...

how can a pharmacist charge the order of a doctor prescription? I been on my medication since 1999. now, I need to go to an pain clinic. why? everybody wants money and a pain clinic only going to give me more medicines to take. if its not broke why fixed it> ## A pharmacist cannot change it, but they can refuse to fill it. There were new regulations put in place by the DEA, so a PCP can no longer prescribe such medications on a long-term ongoing basis. And not all pain specialists are going to prescribe you more medications, they usually try other treatment options, that don't require habit forming substances. There was a lot of abuse and over/improper prescribing, which the government is now trying to curb. Do you have any other questions or concerns? ## There are no new laws s...

Cymgen helps me to cope with many chronic situations and to relax as I should be with a proper mindset. Thanks to our medical science and your excellent good and true feedback, this is lifesaving! ## That is fantastic, I am so happy that it is working so well for you. Have you experienced any side effects, which the NIH lists as possibly including nausea, dizziness, irritability, weight changes, and mood swings? Are you on any other medications? ## Yeah the main thing is to keep cool and know how it also helps with fibromyalgia. I have to take a sleeping tablet to sleep well. ## Yes, I'm also on medications for coronary artery disease, high blood pressure, blood thinning and diabetes type 2.

I want to know how is Serez 25mg help me to cope with Truamatic stress and Bipolar. Will it cause me to stop having these voices and feels like I want to screem at someone and also to stop feeling abandoned. ## Serez is listed as containing the active ingredient Quetiapine, which is an atypical antipsychotic that's used to treat various mental health issues, such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. It works by changing the activity of certain natural substances in the brain. Unfortunately there's no way to know ahead of time how it might effect you, since these types of drugs can and usually do end up effecting each person differently. However, based on its indications, I would think it to be quite useful for the conditions you mentioned. You can learn more about this drug on...

In today's modernized world, there are numerous ways to combat and cope with symptoms of depression. Unfortunately, western medicine seems to focus its attention too heavily on treating it once it's already there as opposed to preventing it to begin with. The problem I see with this approach is that many of the medications available don't actually work or are too riddled with side effects for patients to see lasting results. While this may not apply to everyone, it's interesting to note that a few articles from the Journal of the American Medical Association have paved the way to exploring various preventive methods including, problem-solving education [1], resistance exercise training [2] and psychological preventive intervention. Problem-solving education is intriguing...

I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and started using pain killers for years to cope with working and then was prescribed suboxen 24mg that's 8mg 3 times a day for about 5 years. From my experience suboxen is very strong for pain and stores in your bones and fat so it takes a whole month for it to completely come out of your body. SO INSTEAD OF THE SLOW PAINFULL POCESS OF TAPERING OFF OF THE SUBOXEN I find it easier to replace it with pain killers/opiates for about a month and then use the suboxen for a few days! The levels will drop and the suboxen will come out of your system with out the with drawls. If your experiencing with drawls from suboxen you may want to try marijuana to sleep and help with the pain, eating and anxiety. Also staying hydrated (water), taking vitamins, a...

I am scheduled for a stress test and needed something to help me cope with knee pain while running. I was prescribed the above named medicine, will this affect my results? ## It shouldn't but be sure and tell your dr and the tech doing the test that you've taken it. Pain can increase your heart rate and raise your blood pressure, so they need to know about any pain, even if you take a pain med. ## A narcotic could also artificially lower your heart rate and blood pressure during the test, so the results may not be accurate. Yes, you need to make sure they know about it. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## ...

I was wondering if anyone else has taken this medication and if they got a rash. How bad was it and how did you cope ? ## Hello, Susan! How are you? Yes, that is listed as one of the more serious and most common side effects of it, though it's noted that it rarely resulted in dose changes or stopping of the medication. It is usually reversible. Have you consulted your doctor to see what they advise that you do for it?

I have been taking Jardiance for about 5 weeks now but have had to stop due to thrush that wont go away, I could cope with the thirst and peeing but not this constant thrush, its making me miserable, anyone else experience this and did it go away eventually? ## Hello, Sarah! How are you? Actually, that is most likely due to your being diabetic and not due to the medication. Diabetes is well known to cause thrush in women, according to the NIH. It would be best to consult your doctor, since they may be able to prescribe something that will help prevent it, because it is far more dangerous to go off of the medication and let your blood sugar get out of control. Are you on any other medications? ## Hi, I have been diabetic for 6 years, the doctor who prescribed Jardinance did say it would ...

Erythromycin caused me bad side effects i took them for jus 1 day as i couldnt cope with them. How long wil it take to get out my system? ## Hello, Yaz! How are you? What side effects did you experience? The FDA lists the typical ones for this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. If you only took it for one day, it shouldn't take more than a couple days for things to settle down. However, you should consult your prescriber, as you may need to try a different antibiotic. ## I have been on 750 mg for 7 days.I complained to my doctor about the side effects It is a horrible drug,I would not recommend or advise anyone to take.I have 3 more pills left. But the bucks stop here that's it for me.

I am close to going mad. I cannot concentrate and my hands want stop moving. please put me in touch with soneone who can help. I cannot cope anymore. ## Uncontrollable shaking of a part of your body, is listed as a side effect of Modalert (Modafinil), among a long list of other adverse effects. You may wish to take a look at this side effect list to know what you may be dealing with here: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0000196/#a602016-sideEffects It sounds to me like the side effects are outweighing any possible benefits from taking the medication. Have you consulted a certified medical doctor about these unpleasant side effects? If not, I would strongly recommend that you do, or in other cases, simply try to taper off the medication slowly. I hope this helps!

I have being taking Nuzak for about 3 weeks now. I have not experienced any severe side effects. I am sleeping better and not feeling like I can't cope with everything. However, I have put on about 3kgs even though I have cut down on my carb intake, Is weight gain a side effect of Nazuk. ## No, that is not a typical side effect of Fluoxetine, that active ingredient in Nuzak, according to NIH reports. It is most commonly known to maintain weight, or to cause weight loss, well as nausea, dizziness, headache, mood changes, and dry mouth. You said you have cut down your carbs, but they are not always the cause of weight gain. What types of foods do you usually eat? Are you on any other medications? Do you partake in a low fat diet?

I've been on on bupropion xl 150 mg for almost 1 year. During this time my depression has gotten worse. I attributed the decline in my mood and inability to cope to things happening in my life. Now I'm wondering if this generic form is the problem. Anyone else having these problems? ## There is also a chance that it may just not be the right medication for you to take. Not all of them work for everyone that tries them and some people become resistant to some fairly fast. Have you talked to your doctor about? You may need to try a different medication.

My husband has recently started taking 20 mg lipitor and is experiencing severe joint discomfort after that .Doctor has advised to lower the dose to 10mg .How can we cope with this,if anyone has experienced the same. ## Lipitor contains the active ingredient Atorvastatin, which is used to help lower cholesterol. The joint/muscle aches are very common side effects of this class of medications and in some people they are so severe that they have to discontinue use of the medication and try something else. Lowering the dose may help, but it could still take several weeks for those effects to taper off.
