I am taking Clonidine for an off label use to treat Bruxism(teeth clenching at night). Currently 0.2mg just at night ,but considering trying 0.3mg. My questions are 1) I've heard some people develop a tolerance to Clonidine after taking it for a longtime(so it becomes ineffective and the dose must be increased or treatment stopped). How long can I take before I should take a break ,so I don;t develop this tolerance? 2) If I take 0.3mg and then want to stop taking it , if i reduce my dose by 0.05(half a tablet) every 3-4 days should that avoid rebound hypertension ? My doctor said withdrawal and tolerance are not problems at all so i can stop cold when i want, but don;t think it is a drug she has experience prescribing (only prescribed it as I suggested trying it ,from studies I had ...

i ran out my 0.1mg clonidine tablets perscription. cant get an doctors appt. until April 16. Can I take my 0.3mg once a day until i get my refill perscription ? ## Hello, Reny! How are you? The only difference would be if you take it at different times throughout the day. You should call your doctor and ask, to be certain. My grandchildren both take Clonidine for ADHD. One of them is out of their prescription of the 0.3mg pill. Would it be okay to give him 2 of the 0.1mg (for a total of 0.2mg) pills until his prescription gets refilled? ## Hello, Deb! How are you and your grandkids? You should check with his doctor first, but in theory there shouldn't be anything wrong with doing so… however, you may end up running the other child short on their medication. One one side is a symbol that looks like a fancy R or fancy breast cancer symbol maybe, On the other side is a 129 above the score mark, nothing below it. It's a peachy, salmon, orangish color, round. Found under my 95 year old aunt and uncles bed in their house. It's not their med because I set their meds up, but there are caregivers and a housekeeper. No one claims it. Anyone know what it is??
