Any mood altering meds should be tapered off slowly. Talk to your doctor to see how you should slowly adjust your dosage. Check your meds to see if they are benzodiazapines, like Xanax, Ativan, Klonopin, Clonazapam etc (they have different names for the brand vs the generic, so check your meds to see what types they are.) They drugs can be addictive and do cause serious withdrawal symptoms. I had seizures when I quit Xanax cold turkey. I am now on Ativan, but a low dose that I only take when I REALLY need it to help with panic attacks and panic related sleeplessness. Dr states they are equal. 1 mg clonazapam is to 1 mg of Xanax . Totally different He stopped 2 mgs a day without any concern of withdrawal because he gave me 3 mg a day of clonazapam. Anxiety has doubled and it does not take effect as quick ## I've only taken 2 Klonopin in my life in an attempt to possibly switch over and I found that same near instant relief from anxiety without feeling weird like when I tried Ativan. Suboxone is a narcotic analgesic that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential ...

Have you had any withdrawal symptoms? This is a medication you really shouldn't stop cold turkey, because doing so causes the risk of seizures, so please be careful. As to how long it will take to process out of your system, so any side effects stop and your body gets used to no longer having the medication added, that will take about 4 to 6 weeks. ## I have been on Clonazapam for 20+ yrs. I am currently on 3 mg a day. Ive had seizures and Horrible WITHDRAWLS including suicidal ideations and an obsession with my death, will I have to take this medication forever? Also I take Suboxone 8mg strips one a ...
