I was referred by one of my professors/mentors that alprozalom might be a good medication for me due to my lonelyness in social gatherings partly because i grew up in schools where i was sort of the odd-ball out. I was always shy snd never talked to girls possibly since i came from a broken family and was forced to grow up quicky. I come from a war-torn country where I have had my grandmother pass away as well as several other relatives. I have fewer fears and anxiety when walking alone, and I'm constantly reminiscent of my days as a kid when my family was together. I have no felonies and serious crimes against me. I am a student at Northeastern Illinois University, and I reside on the far North/northwest side of Chicago. I am a senior at my school and I hope to graduate by May with...

Hi, I'm currently prescribed OxyContin 30mg every 8 hours and Dilaudid 4mg every 4 hours PRN for breakthrough and my doctor that I saw is internal medicine and doesn't want to continue these scripts regularly anymore. I know it's hard to find a doctor/PM Clinic that will do med management but these meds are pretty mild (30mg oxycodone released over 12 hours is 2.5mg/hour and Dilaudid 4mg works amazing for pain, hydromorphone for me is a godsend for my back pain. I can literally feel my spine relax and pain dissolve within minutes after taking my Dilaudid. I live downstate about 2 hours away but doctors in my rural area just don't prescribe these meds and we have no pain clinics or pain management for crap. I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction as far as

Doctors are willing to treat pain there. Can someone refer me, because living in daily pain is taking a toll on my quality of life. Please help me. I have no insurance, so I am willing to pay cash ## Hey did you ever find a doc to help you out with your pain. I am having hard time finding doc that will have great bed side manner. I have scoliosis. Degenartive arthritis and 3 building disc. I need to see a doctor todY for my bulging discs because i am in severe pain and my doctor is not available to see for 3 weeks i use norcos 10/325 twice a day and valium for anti seizure sleep and an iety 10 mg twice a day ## Hello, Eric! How are you? I'm sorry, but these types of doctors no longer exist. There are many regulations in place regarding prescribing practices and you most likely won't even be able to get all of your medications from one doctor, anymore, but rather you'll need to see several specialists. The only other option would be to try your local ER, if your pain gets too severe. Is there anything else I can help with?

And have been on pain medications for over 25 years and had a HELL of a time getting my 1st Dr.and After 22 years he retired without a trace and was Evan harder to find Dr. I have had for last 3 years. And cannot take the cold, snowy, damp whether here and need to go somewhere hot and dry I am thinking Reno Nevada or in that area.Doe's anyone know anything about relocating and not going though more problems than facing the normal ones. ## When it comes to relocating, I think the most important first steps should be to ask for a transfer or copy of your medical records and all other health related info they have on file, to help make the transition between doctors as smooth as possible. Then, the best approach in my opinion, is to discuss up front and honestly what has or hasn't wor...

I have chronic neck and back pain and fibromyalgia. My doctors a re giving me a hard time giving me norco for my pain. It doesn't make me high. I am not a silly kid looking for that. It is the only thing that kills the pain. I am still on lamictal and lyrica and a bunch of other vitamins. But I can only function in my daily life without pain if I take 2 norco a day, it is so hard for me to cook, clean, laundry and grocery shop while taking care of my 3 little girls with all of the pain I get. Some mornings it takes me a half hour to physically get out of bed. I am tired of being treated like I don't know my own body and like a drug seeker. I hate my girls seeing me this way. I need a doc who will prescribe norco for me. I have all of the data and records. Sorry for the long rant...

Does anyone know of any doctors in the Chicago area currently prescribing low doses of opioid pain medications? Something like 10-325 Norcos, 20mg-30mg oxycodone IR, 15mg-30mg MSIR or even Suboxone? I broke my back over a decade ago. I recently herniated another disc at L4 and am experiencing terrible pain that shoots all the way down my left leg and into my foot. I’ve been diagnosed with degenerative disc disease and am also experiencing narrowing of the spine at L4, L5. I used to be on tons of these kind of medications and was weaned down on my own choice, but the pain has become unbearable and I need to be able to work. I know Suboxone helps with pain as well and is extremely helpful in preventing cravings for higher doses of opioids. I would be happy to even be taking Suboxone...

I live in Chicago, Illinois and I have been on Oxycodone 30mg for 3 years. My doctor retired and I haven't been able to find a doctor since to prescribe them. Can you help me and give me a doctors name that will prescribe this medication in the Chicagoland area... ## I'm sorry, but there is no listing of doctors that will prescribe any given medication. And you may be creating part of the problem yourself, if you're calling new doctors and asking them to prescribe a specific medication. Most doctors will see that as being drug seeking behavior and won't even let you get in the door. The best thing you can do is to set up an appointment with a new doctor and then just make sure they get a full copy of your medical records, so they can speak for themselves. Learn more Oxyc...

I live in near Aurora, IL. west suburbs of Chicago PLEASE SOMEONE HAS TO KNOW A DR. AROUND AURORA, IL OR W/IN 10 MILES OR SO THAT WILL PRESCRIBE THE PAIN MEDS I NEED. I'VE TRIED AT LEAST 7 OR 8 DIFFERENT MEDS. THE NORCO10'S OR EVEN STRONGER (FEWER PER DAY) WORK PERFECT, NO SIDE EFFECTS. I'VE TRIED ALL THE OTHER NON NARCOTIC AND THEY DO NOT WORK OR I FEEL LIKE A WACK FROM DRUGS LIKE LYRICA. I don't want to be treated like some drug addict...JUST LOOK AT THE MRI FROM LAST WEEK. ## The plethora of posts really wasn't necessary and, if you type in all caps online, it is equivalent to shouting and you won't get many responses. Now, as to your situation. One difficulty you may be creating for yourself is by trying to insist on a certain narcotic medication. Many doctor...

I could really use some advice here. I moved to the Chicago area from out West and the pain management is like night and day from there to here. I feel like b/c there is such a drug abuse problem in the Chicagoland region the doctors I have seen are not willing to prescribe opiates and if they do they aren't willing to prescribe what is necessary to provide pain relief. The doctors I have been seeing in the Chicagoland area seem dead set on installing a Spinal Cord Stimulator. I have also had a doctor who only wants to do epidurals, injections and when he looked at what I was prescribed to when I came and saw him, he literally flipped out. Followed swiftly by a drastic drop in my medications and him saying "you'll be on motrin by this summer". Yet just a month and a 1/2 ...

I have documentation that I was on these meds before. I was on 30mg oxycodone 3x daily, 10mg hydrocodone 4x daily, 30mg adderall twice daily, and 2mg Xanax 4x daily. My doctor was just getting too expensive, does anyone know any doctor around the chicago area that is easy going when it comes to prescribing meds? Thanks so much I just don't want to see a doctor and just walk out with ibuprofen for example. Thanks ## Hello, Mike! How are you? There are no doctors that are easy going about prescribing such medications, anymore. New regulations were put in place last year, which they must abide by, or they risk losing their license to practice medicine. If you require these medications on a long-term ongoing basis for the treatment of chronic pain, you'll need to see specialists to ...

Can anybody recommend a pain management practice near Aurora IL to treat back injuries? The challenge is that many non narcotic medications have not been working well for me and I do not feel good from drugs like Lyrica. I would ideally like a clinic where they would be willing to review my medical history in full and prescribe an appropriate treatment. ## One difficulty you may be creating for yourself is by trying to insist on a certain narcotic medication. Many doctors see this as drug seeking behavior. It is actually much better to let your medical records speak for you, whenever you see a new doctor, that way they can see what has been documented by other doctors and they are more likely to take that under consideration. Therefore, you should always make sure to take a copy of your...

I was born in Chicago in 1978, and my mother had taken Bendectin. Like many other pregnant women during that time, she was handed two prescriptions at her first Obstetrician appointment: Prenatal Vitamins and Bendectin. She had severe morning sickness, so she filled the Bendectin and took it throughout her pregnancy. I think as long as Evanston can continue to utilize this molecule while minimizing the types of side effects that plague most prescription drugs, they'd find much success expanding on it's application for depression. The research backing up their experiments gives hope to those with treatment resistant depression and in my opinion may be a viable alternative for patients seeking a safer approach to managing these symptoms in the long run. I'll be looking forward to more updates as things progress! ## I meant to share this blurb from Chicago Magazine, as well. I have completed 20 treatme...

Trying to taper off xanax or get some in Chicago area. Any help? What doc will help me? ## From what I could gather, Dr. Zabrin Inan is a psychiatrist in Chicago, IL who seems to have a track record that many online reviewers describe as someone who is "pill happy". The phone number to her office is 773-752-6000. I would think someone like this should be able to prescribe you a comfortable amount to taper off with over several weeks time. None the less, if you suffer from anxiety and need a Benzodiazepine class medication (like Xanax), usually your best bet is to see a psychiatrist, rather than a regular medical doctor. Reason being is that they are better trained in the types of medications that handle these problems and many general physicians are reluctant to prescribe contro...

Dr in west suburbs of Chicago that prescibe pain meds I have MRI and blue cross ## Greetings; I'm 65, had back surgery (laminectomy) due to disc ruptures at L4 & L5S1 when I was in my early 30's, was allright for a while yet never FULLY allright. Have tried EVERYTHING except for walking on my hands 24/7 to relieve the pressure, and there is always more surgery which I WILL NOT DO!! I'm older...
