My l4 year old has cerebral palsy and is on Baclofin. I would like to know if Risperdal is compatible with this medication? ## When taking Baclofen together with Risperdal, be sure to look out for respiratory depression. Together these meds might might increase each other's effect in that respect. As such, you should also monitor how coordination and alertness are affected. Do not administer the Risperdal with tea or cola. And above all, be sure that you and the prescribing physician are always on the same page! Report anything unusual to them, and please take what I'm saying as a general guideline. There is no substitute for professional medical attention! I hope this helps...

I am in palliative care for Multiple sclerosis, Small vessel vasculitis, kidney and heart failure. I also have Cerebral palsy w/spina bifida. I have severe spine degeneration from scoliosis. I can't take NSAIDs anymore. I am allowed only 15mg morphine 3x per day, short acting. I am 65 yrs.old. Doctors tell me I am at risk of respiratory arrest because I also take 1mg of clonazepam 2x daily. I'm in palliative care because I dying, they just can't put a timeline on it. I used to get 100 mg morphine 3x daily w/ norcos for breakthrough pain, for 20 years. I was able to walk, work as a paralegal, garden, ride my horse, go to school. I am curious if anyone knows a pain clinic in Stanislaus County CA, or Dr. who will prescribe adequate amounts of pain medication. I have Cerebral Palsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Lupus, Spina bifida, arthritis, etc. I have had chronic intractable pain for years. I can only get 15mg morphine 3Xday, and I might as well not take any at all. Now I am suffering from severe depression and am losing interest in everything I used to love due to the constant pain. By the way, these Doctors and P.A.'s like to tell patients it's the DEA's fault. Actually, several years ago, the FDA came out with a narcotic "guideline" for prescribing meds. They lowered the amounts usually given for chronic intractable pain, so low that most patients were no longer adequately medicated. The "guid...

I have BUT/ACETAMINOPHEN/CAFF 50-300-40 CP. What do the last two letters "CP" mean? Does it mean capsules? ## Hello Grace, Typically the abbreviation CP in the medical field refers to cerebral palsy but in reference to a pill itself it's fairly safe to assume that it could stand for capsule. Each company and pharmacy have their own way of labeling things so if it's truly of great concern to you simply ask your pharmacy or the manufacturer who labeled the bottle. ## The ingredients listed in your abbreviation correspond with: Butalbital 50 mg / Acetaminophen 300 mg / Caffeine 40 mg I am inclined to agree with everyone on here that the "CP" could likely stand for Capsule ... However, there is a variation of this med that also contains Codeine Phosphate 30 mg in add...

I took this drug in 1979 with my second child. My son was born 15 weeks premature and suffered many complications in the few months after. His lungs ruptured eight times, he had a whole in his heart and suffered bleeding to the brain. He is now 31 and is blind, suffers from cerebral palsy, mentally delayed. His blindness is due to the detachment of his optic nerve. I was told by acquaintances that his prematurity is a side effect from this drug. Is this true? ## I also took Benedictine in 1966 and 1971. My son was born 4 weeks premature and at 6 weeks of age was an asthmatic. At the age of 20 months he developed the Nephrotic Syndrome. This condition effects the autoimune system and he literally drowns in his own body fluid. At the age of 15 years it stopped due to mega doses of prednis...

I am on several medications and I would like to know if they harm a baby early in a pregnancy. I may be pregnant, less than 3 weeks along (waiting for blood tests) but I am worried that my life-long medications have already harmed the baby if I am in fact pregnant.
