Can You Take Oxycodone 10mg With Tylenol

Hello I was taking oxycodone 10mg and my dr changed it to oxycodone with tylenol it doesn't seem to be as effective for my pain, has anyone had this happen, I did ask her to change it because the plain oxycodone made me very tired and a little dizzy, any one experience this? ## Usually, the Acetaminophen (Tylenol) potentiates the action of the Oxycodone. However, what dose did she prescribe for you? Are there any markings on the tablets? The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

I would like to know what is the dosing in milligrams of oxycodone with out the Tylenol. I take 10/325. what is the dose for that strength with out the Tylenol, as well as 7.5/325 ## Hello, Ann! How are you? There's not really any way to be precise about such a conversion, because a lot of it depends on the person as the Acetaminophen augments more for some people than for others. But generally there it would just a few milligrams difference, such as 10mg being equal to the 7.5/325. However, before trying to make any changes, you should consult your doctor for your own safety. He changed them due to the fact that the tyenol in them were eating away at my back where i had surgery, but they dont even begin to touch my pain. I have diabetic neourapythy, and several other things that cause severe pain, i dont want them to think that i am a drug seeker, because i am not. I am in so much pain, that it is difficult to even have a life anymore, and sleeping is out of the question, i might if i am lucky to get an hour a day. I was taking 2 white 5mg oxycodone IR tabs 2x/day but they were only partially useful in reducing my pain. My doctor reluctantly prescribed 2 pink 10 mg oxycodone IR (= 20mg) tabs every 12 hours. The number 048 is on these tabs. I have had them for three days now and I am taking them as prescribed, but they do not seem to work nearly as well as the former 5mg white tabs. Is this an issue that is simply in my head or is there a reason why taking 2 of the pink 10 mg tabs twice a day aren't working like I thought they would? Can someone please tell me if one of the 5mg oxycodones without Tylenol is equal to a percocet 10mg? Is it stronger or weaker and would it only take one to equal the equivalent of a perk 10 or 2 of the oxycodone 5mg ## Hi Julie, To answer your question, 5mgs of Oxycodone quite simply does NOT equate to 10mgs of Oxycodone + 325mgs of Tylenol found in Percocet. Usually when people abbreviate the term "perk 10" this means that it contains 10mgs of Oxycodone and nothing less. Is how much hydro can i take until its time for my refill ## I alternate oxycodone and loracet to manage my pain and it seems to keep my tolerance down for each drug. And as far as the dose of loracet take as prescribed because to much Tylenol is very bad on your liver. I would look at it like this use your loracet as a get me by until u can fill ur oxycodone. I want to know what is the difference between the yellow oxycodone 10mg with a p and 230 on it. And the pink oxycodone with np and 12 on it?
