I was suffering from sinus and headache since 5 years. I have taken a lot of medicine and I have also done ct scans. But I doesn't show anything. Right now I am taking IC butal-acet-caff, propranolol, gabapentanin, and neproxalin but it doesn't help me. Can you please tell me the right treatment for sinus and migraine headache. I'm having a severe headache and have been for 3 days. Went to Dr yesterday and they gave me a script for a headache pill but it didn't work. They also gave me a pain shot and steroid shot that didn't work! Today they called in a script for butalb acetaminophen caffeine 50 300 40 and it's not working. How long should it take for this to work or should I go to see if I need any tests ran? ## It should start to help within 15 to 20 minutes of taking it, according to the NIH, since it is a regular release medication. What are the symptoms? ## Hello, From what I can gather, this combination can potentially be fatal, but you would have to ingest a very significant amount. A serious overdose of butalbital and acetaminophen may result in toxicity. Toxicity due to caffeine is less likely, due to the fairly small amounts in this formulation. The symptoms of overdosing on these medications are as follows: Butalbital: toxicity from Barbituate poisoning may include confusion, drowsiness, and coma; respiratory depression; hypotension; and hypovolemic shock. Do you think taking half a butalb will have any effect? Sorta afraid to take the whole pill... Headache is due to vertigo.. It's hard to read, but I think it's a 40mg pill. ## Hello, Jack! Can this med help chronic back pain,lower back? ## The combination of Acetaminophen (325 mg) + Butalbital (50 mg) + Caffeine (40 mg) is most commonly used to treat migraines and tension headaches caused by muscle contractions. The prescribing information also states that, "acetaminophen, butalbital, and caffeine may also be used for other purposes not listed in this medication guide." - That said, I don't see why those ingredients wouldn't be of at least some help in so far as managing your back pain. I would like to know the side effects of this drug. I have been prescribed this for cluster headaches. I am also a heart patient. This does not seem to do the trick for breaking the cycle. What would u recommend? ## Hello, Mike! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. What medications do you take for your heart condition? Some of them can cause headaches as side effects, as reported by the FDA. So it could be that one of them needs to be adjusted or changed, rather than trying something to treat the headaches. Many of them can also cause dehydration, which can worsen the problem.

I have bad migraines maybe twice a week and I just had major back surgery and I also have a script for hydrocodone.....I'm not sure but I feel like I'm dragging myself around. ...I want to sleep and I feel exhausted....I know my migraine can make me tired but this is way more than normal.....is it the side effects of the 2 meds? ## Hello, Lindsey!
