its oval light green supposse to be generic oxycontin ## First, I would like to let you know that there is no generic for Oxycontin that is available in the U.S. All Oxycontin tablets are manufactured by Purdue Pharma and distributed by them or Ethex Pharmaceuticals. They all have an OP on one side and a number designating the dosage on the other. That said, I can't find any listing for an oval, green tablet with this marking, or anything similar, in the U.S. prescription drug databases. Do you know if it's from the U.S. or elsewhere?

I found some suspicious pills in my boyfriend's bag. He is a recovering opioid addict, so this has me alarmed. He does take a ton of supplements & vitamins. These were hidden in a black jewelry bag in a backpack… No markings on these pills. Anyone know what they could be? ## If there are no markings, we can rule it out as being any type of prescription medication. As noted here the FDA requires them all to have unique imprints to help enable their identification in case of emergency. The imprint must enable them to be identified according to medication, dosage, and manufacturer. If there are no markings, it is most likely something that is available over the counter, such as a supplement, unless he has access to foreign medications. Is there anything else I can help with?

Is a purple football shaped tablet with IFA on one side and a thick score line on the other a 1 mg Xanax? Is that the drug manufacturer? I found half of a blue pill. It looks like it may have been scored, can't tell for sure. It has an imprint of either 86, 98, or 96? ## Valacyclovir - 500mg commonly used to treat herpes and other viruses. ## @Doc, From what I can tell, the 500mg Valacyclovir hydrochloride tablet I'm seeing is indeed oblong and blue, but the imprint on it is "F 82". So if it were broken in half there would just be the "82" showing and not any of the prospective numbers that were mentioned by Randi (86, 98, or 96). I guess it all depends on the condition of the pill and how Randi interpreted it in whatever state it was found, but as far as I know, 500mg Valacyclovir is still considered an educated guess and not necessarily the correct answer. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I found a 4-sided blue pill with 100 imprinted on one side and a triangle on the other side. I need to know what it is? ## I found the same exact one myself and I am not sure either. I think from what I’ve gathered so far is that it’s either generic or counterfeit viagra. A fake compound pharmacist made it or it’s a no name brand, bottom of the barrel off brand and most likely manufactured in Mexico or nearby. ## I'd also like to add from my own investigation (hopefully as some form of additional confirmation to post #1) that I too suspect this to be a foreign (made outside of the US), generic or counterfeit version of Viagra.
