Black Capsule No Imprint

I found a black solid Capsule in my husband's dresser drawer. there is a whole bottle but he has peeled most of the label so that I can't read it. Now Im not sure what it is. Im in a real bind because he takes prescription medicine and tend to not take it the correct way. So Im curious if the pill he is taking now may be giving him a little boost of something else. What is this black capsule imprinted with PWC encircled? ## I can't find a listing for this in any of our resources. hi i was cleaning out my ex's draws and i found a light blue capsule iped open n empty with a very fine whire powder residue also a speed/crack baggie ripped right down the sides and a maccas straw cut into a 3cm legnth at an angle at one end.. they are not his but an ex friend we allowed to stay with us for a while who used the draws, i also found a lot of viagra bottles and two plain black no marking capsules in a sandwich bag. im guessing ther are illict (both blue and the black capsules) ive flushed the capsules but was curiouse as to what the sum was takin in my house around my children

I found a oval capsule that appears black possibly purple in color with the numbers 127 imprinted on each section of the capsule. Im assuming its fairly old since I found it behind the drywall in my home. It hasnt been replaced for approx 12-15 years. If anyone can give me a clue I would appriciate it. Thank you.

I received vicodin es from over seas...it is a plain black capsule with no markings. Is it really vicodin, or a fake? ## Since there are no markings on the pill, it's going to be difficult to determine what this tablet contains, unless you would pay to have it lab tested, somewhere. U.S. law requires that all prescription drugs have a unique imprint on the tablets or capsules so the medication can be identified by manufacturer, substance and dosage. Could order from magazine in early 90s ## Hi Chaya, What type of medication are you referring to? There are many black capsules that could be OTC, Rx, or even dietary supplements; so I can't really narrow down what you're looking for until we get a name or imprint. I doubt the availability is there if you're ordering medications from a magazine that's at least 20 years old. However if you did order from a magazine, odds are it probably wasn't a prescription or OTC drug. It could very well be a supplement of some sort. Have you had any experience taking them in the past?

I found black capcels of my husbands when I opened it there was black powder inside I flushed powder down toilet and it became like a long piece of black string ## Hi mandie, Due to the nature of the capsule, I don't believe you have a prescription medication. In the U.S., all prescription medications are required to have an imprint for identification purposes. Unless your husband takes medication that you don't know of, this capsule is likely to be one of the following: diet, energy, herbal, vitamin. Otherwise it could be illicit or foreign. There are many capsules that are black and green, both prescription and over the counter. Is there virtually no imprint on the tablet itself? U.S. law requires that all prescription drugs have a unique imprint on the tablets or capsules so the medication can be identified by manufacturer, substance and dosage. I found a black and yellow capsule with 879 over 159 printed on the black half, Please help it was in my closet ## I can't find any listing for this in the prescription drug databases that I checked. It's similar to other imprints used by Halsey Pharm, so I'm wondering if it may be a discontinued product of theirs. If there are no markings on it, then we can rule it out as being a U.S. manufactured/approved prescription medication, since they are all required to have imprints to enable their identification. The only exception would be something specially ordered and done by a compounding pharmacy, but they don't typically use colored capsules. That means that this is most likely something that's available over the counter. Where did you find it? Some products are regional, so knowing the general location may help to narrow it down. Found black and yellow capsules in my kids room they have no marking and no imprint. ## @Sumdub, Unfortunately all FDA approved prescriptions are required to have some sort of marking or imprint for identification, so my thinking is that it could literally be anything from a dietary supplement to a foreign, OTC or illicit drug. Have you tried talking with your kid to see if they can provide any information on what it's allegedly supposed to be? Since you found it in their bedroom I'd imagine they'd probably know something; and being the head of the household you should have every right to know what substances are brought into your home (if not but for his/her own safety). I found these pills mixed in with some Librium 10 mg capsules I have. The 10 mg capsules are half mint green, half dark green/black with RCDP and 10 imprinted on them. The capsules in question have a light green half and a white half with no imprint. These pills are from the UK. Looking online I found Librium 25 mg capsules matching these unknown ones I have but all those pictures show clear markings, these pills have no imprint at all. ## Hi Nate, Thanks for the thorough information. I found a suspicious pill that doesn't look American or FDA approved. It is a half white, half pink capsule with a black stripe on each side. It does not have any branding or coding on it. ## The lack of an imprint doesn't necessarily mean that it isn't a U.S. product, or that it isn't FDA approved. Over the counter items aren't required to have unique imprints and list them with the FDA. That said, while I can be certain that's what these are, I have seen some Diphenhydramine capsules that meet this description, they were sold as a store brand of Benadryl. Does anyone else recognize this capsule?

I found a clear capsule with pink,whit,n black beads with no markings or #s.. ## Hello Mel, I've seen a lot of questions regarding clear capsules with colored beads in them and from what other users find is most of the time it's a vitamin/supplement manufactured by performix. I have also heard of prescription medicines from outside the U.S that have similar descriptions but without having an imprint there really is no way for anyone to tell if it is or isn't a medication.
