My doctor has given Betacap Plus 5mg to my son who is 17 yrs old, whose head keeps on hurting. I'd like to know what this medication is usually prescribed for? ## I have a headache. Can I take this for relief? ## This contains the active ingredients Propranolol and Flunarizine, which are used to treat high blood pressure and migraine headaches. Common side effects may include: nausea, headache, dizziness and stomach pain. ## My doctor also prescribed the same medication for my migraine headache. Can anyone tell me more about the possible side effects of this medicine? ## I have been taking betacap plus (5 mg) for 1 month for migraine relief, but I would like to gradually stop. I am suffering from a severe headache and just want to know what the side effects are and if there's any problem for your heart, liver, kidney and pregnancy timing? ## Beta Caps contain the active ingredient Betamethasone and in the U.S. the FDA advises against using it during pregnancy, because studies have shown it to be tetrogenic. This means it can be toxic and dangerous when used during early developmental stages. Are you saying it was prescribed for the headaches or you think it is causing them? i m suffering from migraine problem since last 4 years. Dr. had advised me to eat betacap plus 10 and tryptomer daily. ## Hi, I have been prescribed betacap 20 mg and tryptomer 10 for throbbing headaches. Although the pain has reduced, still there are signs of the same throbbing if i run for a while or do some strenuous work like climbing a flight of stairs. I also have heavy head all day. Even getting excited results in pain. Please advise if this is normal?
