I have been type 2, for 10 years, 3 years ago I was put on Sitagliptin, then last year on Invokana, lost weight and also lowered sugar numbers, then instead of using diet and excercise I just used the tabets to keep sugars down, then sugars went to 8.7 HBAC1, was put on Victoza and both medications stopped, in last 3 months, my sugars on Victoza sky rocketed to 11.9 HBAC1. After a massive argument with the GP, I asked to be put back in Januvia and Invokana, my sugars over the last months have been in their 15 to 20, I took one tabet of each yesterday, and my number are in single figures, I have vowed to keep drinking more, do my excercises and also now go on a low carb diet, I am grateful for these new medications, without which my sugars was out of control, and my next option was Insulin

I am diabetic with hypertension. My blood sugar and BP is normal with medication. Fasting Sugar-110 & pp 145. Blood pressure - 125/70. My age is 63 yrs. My feet are swelling. Pl advise whether the Asomex dose need to be reduced..? ## What other medications do you take? Have you consulted your doctor? They'd be best able to advise you in this matter and whether or not your medication needs to be changed. However, there are dangers associated with this, so you can't just let it continue. You need to consult your doctor as soon as possible.

Hi, I had sugar levels 250(fasting) and 302(pp) one month back. I started taking one tablet of Germer 1 in morning I tested my levels yesterday and are 81 fasting and 95 PP(I tested sugar level without taking medicine that day). Doctor told me to reduce tablet to half. My blood sugar level is 159 while fasting. My Dr has prescribed me two Glycomet 1gm tablets to take in the afternoon and at night. Is it an appropriate dosing regimen? ## It is always best to follow your doctor's dosing instructions. I just got my RX for metformin Hcl 500 mg. tablets. I am confused as to when is the best time of day for me to take it. Should I take it in the morning, or, at night before bed? Do I need to take it on an empty stomach, or, with food? ## Ideally, it should usually be taken in the morning, just before a meal, that way it has time to start working to help lower your blood sugar by the time your body starts digesting your meal. My mother is taking glucobay m 50+tribet 2 from last 1 and half year her blood sugar level is 120-129 before eating, doctor says that u have to take this tablets for lifetime. is it true or not? I use of amaryl for 12 years with other medications but level remained uncontrolled recently my doc perscribed janumet 1000 twice a day with amaryl 6 ..sugar level stated to get down but sometimes to 50 when I start feeling hypo symptoms. As to which one to reduce though, you should consult your doctor. They would be the person best able to advise you on that. What is the use of glycomet tablet? PLEASE SUGGEST ME THE BEST MEDICINE TO BRING MY PRESENT SUGAR LEVEL (OF 110-165 & TSH=27) TO NORMAL RANGE SOON. THE FOLLOWING MEDICINES ARE BEING TAKEN SINCE THE LAST 6 MONTHS. I had heart attack about 51/2 years back with one artery treated with Angioplasty and another treated with By pass in span of 5 months. I am also a diabetic with fully controlied sugar and lipid levels in Best controlled range. Since past 51/2 years I am taking Ecosprin 150 mg. once a day every morning. I have to undergo Tooth extraction which may require suspension of the Tablet for say 10 days(Maximum). Do we anticipate any risks out of this Temporarary suspension. I have fully regulated diet coupled with Daily excersise for an Hour. Pls advise.
