does akyma prenatal plus have gelatin, if so what is the source? is there any multi vitamin that does not contain any animal products? thanks ## @latif, Based on my research, Akyma (also known as Amneal) Pharmaceuticals discontinued their prenatal plus tablets some time ago. However I did come across a list of inactive ingredients and apparently it does contain gelatin sourced from porcine, which is pork. Are the prenatal G12 pills suitable for vegetarians? ## Hi Jack, Because it's not listed on the product packaging, it would be difficult to know where the ingredients were sourced from without contacting the manufacturer directly. However, being primarily vegan myself... I would probably try to steer clear of products that don't state their sources on the box. Have you heard of a company called Garden of Life (Vitamin Code)? They also have a Raw Prenatal multivitamin w/ iron, except theirs is verifiably raw, vegetarian, gluten-free & dairy-free. It's about $40 for a two month supply. Definitely worth checking out! It's supplied by Akyma Pharmaceuticals. It can be purchased over the counter (OTC). It's not necessarily hard on the stomach but, like all acetaminophen, can be hard on the liver if taken too much/often. ## Amneal Pharmaceuticals also list this tablet as containing 325mgs of Acetaminophen, it is a generic for Tylenol, and is available over the counter.
